The 7" chair is sturdy but lightweightAs a family we follow Montessori principles so I needed a set up that could allow for snacking, activities, etc. for my children. I looked at many options and decided on the Steffy Wood 5, but it was too small (my daughter's legs bent outward to accommodate her). I contacted the company to return it but they wanted return shipping so we are keeping it for our newborn when the time comes and she needs to sit at the weaning table. Later that night, I logged onto Amazon and found a company that was selling this Bird in Hand 7" chair which happened to be cheaper than the 5" Steffy Wood I already owned. In just a few months time, my daughter has learned to move it herself when she wants to sit and she also has learned how to clean the chair as well. The chair is easy to clean and has held up with many wipe downs and washes with water and an all natural cleaner.
