Everybody would love to ( and have to ) utilize their home and make good use of every inch of the space.A few years ago attending a furniture fair, I was given a honeycomb board sample and was amazed by the strength and load capacity of this structure. This structure is widely used in the furniture industry composite boards for shelves and tables. I took this sample back as a decor on my bookcase...I love having friends at my place, but have never had enough seats for everyone. My guests and I would always end up just sitting on the floor. I really wanted a kind of seat that doesn't take up any floor space when I don’t need it. Is that even possible? One day however, the empty space on my bookcase and the honeycomb sample caught my eyes. Then came the spark of a new idea: BOOKNITURE! BOOKNITURE designed to fit most shelves, I want something different from traditional folding chairs and tables. It has to look natural and fit in the living environment, comfortable to sit on, invisible when stored
After the initial idea of Bookniture, the journey of creating the perfect furniture piece began. Different materials were studied and structural design were developed. All over the world the right type of paper for the mass production of origami structure was sourced and identified. The specific machine, different toolings, and the dimension of the origami structure were all carefully managed. The current version of BOOKNITURE (as presently featured in our campaign) has replaced the original design with an advanced origami structured core. A lighter and much stronger sturdy BOOKNITURE!We would therefore like to alert and give notice to our existing backers of this change we have made to BOOKNITURE's original design.
