Evacuation Chair - Excel model The Evacuation Chair Excel model is an upgraded version of our Standard Evacuation Chair. It incorporates weight bearing arms, a full chest support harness and leg support strap for additional comfort and safety. The load capacity has been increased to move an individual of up to 182kg and it has built-in carry handles which make it easy to manoeuvre up stairways as well as down to ground level.

The EVAC+CHAIR Emergency Evacuation Chair enables evacuation of less mobile persons in emergency situations down a flight of stairs. This can be achieved with only a single operator. The chair protects the person in the chair with safety buckles, an optional forehead restraint, and a sling-style seat that ensures the user is sat back in the chair and cannot be tipped forward. The Emergency Evacuation Chair's wheels are supported by specially designed friction belts which ensure the chair does not slip or accelerate too rapidly while descending a flight of stairs. However, please note all US Government GSA contract purchases must be handled directly by the Garaventa factory.
