I purchased them in white and the wooden/ metal legs are gorgeous. They are easy and fun to assemble. I don't foresee the life of the chairs being more than 3-5 years, the plastic of the seat shell reminds me of cheap grade school chairs. It has a slight bend to it when weight is applied and I'm pretty petite. I imagine at some point it will show some wear from this. These chairs are sturdy and SO comfortable!! They look very trendy and go with all my decor which is a mix of styles. very satisfied with this purchase. It's easy to assemble and it looks great with my table, so lightweight and modern. Good chairs with durability. Bought for my children's common room table. They abuse it like there is no tomorrow, but still doing well. Easy to clean despite its color. Great for the price We love these chairs, bought 6 total. I assembled them in about 2 hours. The actual assembly is only 4 bolts per chair, but the wood legs are covered in heat shrunk plastic which isn't taken off when they assemble the chair base, so all the screws need to be loosened one by one to remove the plastic trapped behind them then retightened, thus the longer assembly time. I would give 5 stars relative to the price (no where near as good as a real Eames Chair) but the finish on the legs was scaley, had dried drip marks, and was missing in some places on the leg. Great chairs for the price and easy to assemble. "Do these stain easily or are they easy to clean up? I want to get the white chairs, but am wondering if that is a good idea with children. Good choice for kids. I have two kids 7 and 2 they are in our homework room and nothing has occurred to them that a magic eraser didn't clean up. Its a style i've been looking for and it was the cheapest I found online the style is trendy and fits in with just about any table! I found a solid maple round table at Goodwill and I wanted to give it an updated look and these chairs fit the bill. The table has leaves so if I need to I can go back and get a pair of Eames style chairs with arms to add to these four. I like that they came in a set of four and that they are stackable.
