Giveaway signs that you need a new mattress include a saggy or lumpy feel, or bedding that’s been in use for five to seven years. Like your favourite worn pair of shoes, your mattress can seem comfortable when, in fact, it has lost its ability to support your body. At Best Buy, you can take your pick from a wide selection of innerspring, orthopedic, memory foam mattresses and more from brands like Sealy, Serta, King Koil, Monarch, Safety 1st and Sportz. Let your Body Decide What’s Best for YouComfort labels like ultraplush or supersoft may seem appealing but, in reality, the names can be arbitrary when comparing models. The right mattress is one that meets your personal needs and preferences. Essentially, your spine should be aligned in the same way as when you’re standing with good posture. This means if you’re a side sleeper a too-firm mattress may not have enough give to let your shoulders and hips sink.

Likewise, a mattress that’s too soft could feel like you’re sinking in quicksand. Mattress Options GaloreMattresses come in all makes and sizes, and it’s best to know the common types before setting your heart on one. With their steel coil system, innerspring mattresses offer a range of comfort choices, from fluffy as a cloud to extra firm. Memory foam mattresses are especially great for absorbing movement like a partner tossing and turning. The firmer version, latex (solid foam) mattresses, claims to be hypoallergenic. Other bedding types include orthopedic, designed to support your back and joints, pillow top, mouldable gel, and inflatable air mattresses. Show you Care with Mattress Pads and CoversLoving your new mattress? Protect it from everyday wear and tear, and even deter dust mites or pet dander. A pad placed above the mattress not only protects but also secures your sheets and adds extra-cushy support. Waterproof covers on crib mattresses are ideal. Most protective layers are machine washable, and encasements can offer allergy and bed bug protection.

He was wet and carrying his boots . . . (and) walking towards the town,” said Thorn, a lawyer representing the federal Public Prosecution Service of Canada. Before Bennett pleaded guilty to the charge Thursday, he told police he had to reach his pregnant girlfriend in Canada because he was worried for her safety, Thorn said.“He said she had an ex-boyfriend who was threatening her, but that hasn’t been confirmed by the other party,” he said.Bennett has no fixed address but is believed to live in Calais. The prosecutor said he had heard of people swimming across the river before, but he said the air mattress method was a novel approach. As for the judge hearing the case, Thorn said he told the accused: “Pardon the pun, but it seems to me you wanted to get there, come hell or high water.”, each property of Toronto Star Newspapers Limited, One Yonge Street, 4th Floor, Toronto, ON, M5E 1E6.
