Since 1983, our goal has been to provide the Chicago area with the widest selection of the best quality sleep systems at the absolute lowest prices. Our low overhead and supreme buying power enable us to beat the chain stores and department stores. We now take this concept a step further, by offering an assortment of all natural, organic mattresses and accessories. With the growing concern about chemicals in the products on the market, we offer a safe alternative. We offer a full selection of All Natural and Organic Latex Mattresses. We carry mattresses from Natura, Savvy Rest, Naturepedic, and Suite Sleep. We always have a great selection in our showroom to choose from! We also have a great selection of All Natural Pillows, Mattress Pads, and Comforters. We try to always keep mattresses in stock for quick delivery. Since there are not many retailers offering these products in the Midwest, we will personally deliver our Organic Latex Mattresses for free within the Chicago and Milwaukee metropolitan areas.

We have had customers come from all over the area; Naperville, Indianapolis, Oak Park, Chicago, Urbana, Rockford, Evanston and many others! If you are out of our delivery range, we can ship to you third party with full service delivery most anywhere in the continental USA. North Shore Bedding is locally owned and operated. Supporting your locally owned retailers improves the local economy. Brett, the owner, has been working in the business since the age of 15. What started out as a small mattress store in Highwood, IL has grown into the most respected sleep shop in the North Shore!  In 2013, our building was sold, and we were forced to move out.  The building has already been demolished!  Here is a series of photos showing our old store and the demolition. We believe that we have moved into the best shopping center in The North Shore in January of 2013.  We are now at Willow Festival Shopping Center, at the North-West corner of Willow Road and Waukegan Road.  The center is worth the trip alone, if you are driving in from a long distance.

We have National stores like Whole Foods, REI, Homegoods, Lowe's, DSW, Best Buy, Relax the Back, and CVS.  There are plenty of restaurants including Roti, Meatheads, Buffalo Wild Wings, Starbucks and Potbellies.  On top of that are some unique shops like Wags on Willow, Art Post Gallery, Trout and Grouse, and many other great stores.  Art Post Gallery was generous enough to let us display some of their beautiful pieces in our showroom. You can just throw the old ones away, right? You can prolong the life of your old bed by donating it to charity. Donate your old bed to help an individual or family through a tough time. Donating an old bed or mattress is the ecologically responsible choice, too. Our landfills don’t need more of our stuff, particularly things that can have a second life in the hands of someone else.

Before you let the deliverymen haul off your old bed and mattress, find out if they’re just going to be dumping them. You may even find a charity in your area that will come pick up your old bed from your doorstep. Wondering where to donate an old mattress? will help you find a charity in your area that will accept your bed, mattress and other furniture donation. You can also, within minutes, schedule a free pickup of your items. That’s quite a service, considering how heavy and unwieldy beds and mattresses can be! You might also be wondering where your donated bed will go once it’s in the hands of the charity you’ve chosen. Some charities will sell your items to help fund their activities and further their mission. Your donations can go to support a range of individuals and families in different situations. Donate a bed to help a family that’s just lost everything in a fire, earthquake, hurricane, or other natural disaster. Donate a mattress to a battered women’s shelter or refugee center.

Donate a mattress to a homeless shelter. Donate a bed to an individual in transition, trying to get back on his feet. Your former bed can help someone else rest easier at night. Will charities accept beds and mattresses of any size? You’ll need to check with the charity first, but many organizations will accept your donated bed and mattress of any size. Donate a hospital bed. Donate a baby or crib mattress. Donate an inflatable mattress. Donate a single or twin bed. Donate a full bed. Donate a queen bed. Donate a king or California king bed. Please ensure that your bed and mattress are in good condition. Please do not donate broken, stained, or unsanitary beds and mattresses. And please take care to tell the charity whether the items were in a home with pets or smokers, as people in fragile health can be extremely sensitive to pet hair and cigarette smoke. Do you have more than a mattress to donate to charity? is your best bet to get your donations into the hands of a charity near you.

It only takes a couple minutes. You’ll first be able to locate a charity near you willing to accept your donations, and you can then schedule a free pickup of the items you’d like to donate. Many charities will accept a wide range of items, while others welcome more specialized goods. Donate shoes and clothes. Donate a couch or other household furniture. Donate kitchen and other household items. Donate a car, truck, or boat. Donate toys and other baby items. Donate bikes or tricycles. Donate a TV, DVD player or VCR. is the place to start anytime you’d like to get your gently used items into the hands of those who need them. And it’s the best choice for the planet, too. Within 16 months they expanded again to 68th and National. They did not own the building and unfortunately were forced out of that locationSeeing the writing on the wall, they had anticipated this event and opened a store where they are currently at 5928
