(Image credit: Atelier 010) Bibliophiles, here's a chair and a library all in one. Bookworm is a bookcase that curves around itself to create the perfect reading nook for getting lost in a story. Originally created by Dutch design firm Atelier 010 in 2012, the piece was rereleased this month; Bookworm 2.0 sees the addition of an integrated overhead light. While you could certainly curl up in Bookworm, the seat is chair height and can also be enjoyed with your feet on the floor. under Design, Green Furniture, Green Home decor, Green Interiors, Green Products There’s nothing quite like settling into a comfy seat to read a good book, and it’s even better when your bookshelf doubles as a rocking chair! Designed by Hyunjin Seo from the Seoul-based design group KamKam, ‘The Motion’ is a curvaceous multi-tasking bookcase that also serves as a literary lounge chair. We love how Seo’s clever rocking design saves space and materials that would otherwise be used for two separate pieces of furniture – and it seems a lot more stable than the rolling bookshelves that we’ve seen in the past.

Via The Blog On The BookshelfBookworm Wrap-Around Bookshelf Chair Gives Bookworms Their Own Little Book Nook Now here’s another piece of furniture that book lovers would love to own: the Bookworm. It reminds me a little of the Sunflower Chair, which features a plushy seat that’s surrounded by a roundabout bookshelf. The Bookworm also features a seat surrounded by shelves all around, but in a different, more modern kind of way. The seat doesn’t look as cushy, but it still definitely looks like a comfortable place to get your read on. The shelf is supported by a single stainless steel leg that’s attached to one side – presumably that’s all it needs to keep from falling over. The rest of the chair is constructed from thin sheets of MDF and flexible plywood. The Bookworm is available for purchase from Atelier 010. They’re made to order, so if you’re interested, send the makers an email to ask for the price and make your order. More from Awesomer Media...

The design looks awesome especially when you add a few books with a colorful book cover. The bad part is that people in these days don’t buy so many books, or if they buy they buy them in electronic format. The chair is designed by a Toronto based design-duo company named FishbolDesign Atelier, and is manufactured with bent plywood and available with a felt cushion in customizable colors. For those interested in this design he will be available in Spring 2008. – Via – designspotterCollect this idea 0 Got it!
