He and Lucy have now expanded this business to 4 stores, Salisbury (by Southampton Road Tesco) which has now developed into some 25,000 square feet of showrooms with some amazing displays of oak, pine and painted furniture, but they also have a great collection of sofas to, this is then combined with an extra 10,000 square feet of warehousing, with a huge amount of stock ready to be delivered at a moments notice!
Our Poole store on the main Nuffield Road is approximately 10,000 square feet of showrooms with an extensive selection of oak, pine and painted furniture in generous displays, with a whole host of accessories, this store has also had revamped LED lighting system installed, (now recently installed in our Blandford store and soon to be rolled out across the others to) this in the main to reduce our energy use and in turn reduce our carbon foot print, but it also gives a very light airy feel to the showrooms to, so a winner in many ways! Blandford (off of Holland Way) has seen the biggest changes over the last few months and now boasts some 9,000 square feet of showrooms with ample displays of oak, pine and painted furniture, with a wealth of accessories and has had a huge makeover recently, with new carpets and LED lighting giving the displays a wonderful clean open look, this is then combined with 12,000 square feet of warehousing making not only one of the biggest, best looking furniture showrooms in the south west of the country but also the fastest for delivery!

To date we have helped the Forestry commission plant over 70,000 trees and this number will just keep on growing but it is not just tree planting that we are content with, we also make a huge effort at A world of furniture to recycle all of our cardboard and paper, this has now been combined with recycling the polystyrene packaging too, a material which is notoriously difficult to dispose of but have found a company locally in Poole who have been able to help us in recycling this too. We also have an ongoing commitment to local bee keepers and have been regularly donating money to help keep the bee population from the decline that it has faced over the last few years. All of our furniture comes from manufacturers who source their timber responsibly too, A world of furniture have an obligation as a company (as does the industry as a whole) to ensure that we have as little impact on the environment as possible and this is done through careful management of timber felling at source and replanting to maintain healthy woodland for the future.
