💡The International Republican Institute (IRI) seeks a Field Accountant for its programs in Ukraine (a full-time position). 

The position includes a 90-day probationary period from the start date.

The Field Accountant will play a key role in supporting the work of IRI by providing accounting and financial management support to the Kyiv field office. Under the direction the Finance and Administrative Manager, and together with IRI 

👨🏽‍💻👩🏽‍💻Accounting Staff in Washington the Field Accountant’s responsibilities will include the following:

✔️Ensuring that IRI meets required financial management, financial reporting, and financial due diligence requirements.

✔️Monitoring expenses against budgets and cash flow

✔️Ensuring that all donor reporting requirements and other funding conditions are met

✔️Contributing to strategic planning, work planning and budgeting

✔️Ensuring timely payment of vendors’ invoices

✔️Supervising the Procurement Specialist

✔️Provides additional support to the Finance and Administrative Manager as needed

💼Successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

✔️Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject, preferably in accounting or finance

✔️Previous experience working with a development project, NGO or International Organization

✔️Prior experience with either (preferably both)

✔️Working as an accountant or bookkeeper

✔️Making travel reservations and organizing logistics for a company or NGO

✔️Fluency in Ukrainian and Russian; professional English language skills and the ability write professionally in English

✔️Skilled communicator, both verbally and in writing

✔️Detail-oriented and highly organized

✔️Collaborative, team oriented individual

✔️Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines

✔️Good computer and electronic presentation skills
