Nationwide delivery with in-home set up and mattress removal Local delivery with in-home set up and mattress removal Over 15,000 5-star reviewsHi there, I am looking to buy the sleepmaker together alone ultra plush (vega) - after reading the above reviews I am now not so sure. Has anyone purchased this mattress or have a view on it? wants in a mattress are - avoid partner disturbance (I work shift), assist with bad pain when lying in bed too long, not latex (too hot) - thanks in advance :) asked on Jan 02, 2016 Hi, I'm sorry to say i had a sleepmaker pocket spring in the past and it didn't last 5 years. Plush medium pillowtop sagged in the first year and by two years I was sleeping on a slope! I had terrible hip pain and the mattress didn't provide us with any great support. Neither my partner or I are heavy people and it has been a terrible experience. I'm not a fan of pocket springs anymore. It's a bunch of thin springs, wrapped in material that's all glued together.

Go for a non pillowtop stronger spring and your back will thank you for it. replied on May 27, 2016 Does anyone know if the Elara Firm Mattress from SleepMaker's Together Alone® is a good purchase? asked on May 19, 2015 I would like to know the same.. Feeling worried with all the bad sleep maker reviews replied on Jun 06, 2015 We purchased a Sleepmaker king Elara Firm (together alone) from David Jones and have been using it since March. I highly recommend this mattress. Sleepmaker were really helpful in providing guidelines for the sizing/spacing of slats for the base as we chose to have a bed custom made instead of purchasing an ensemble. This directly impacts the quality of the mattress, I get the impression the negative reviews did not meet these guidelines. I now never get back soreness or roll into my husband and we both get a terrific night sleep as the bed also keeps him cool - which was his complaint of our previous mattress. I think it is helpful to have realistic expectations of the pocket spring.

If someone is jumping or heavily falling into bed - you will feel the vibrations, though you will not feel when someone changes positions or moves in the bed. In our experience this is a fantastic mattress, well worth the price that we would purchase again. There are different grades of Sleepmaker pocket spring mattresses for the different stockists. This review was for the "Elara" (firm) from David Jones. replied on Jun 28, 2015 We are looking to buy the sleppmaker runway plush it is on the sofetr side and we will be buying the ensemble, mattress and base. Price is $1995 from David Jones. Would anyone be able to help with recommendations? asked on Jan 14, 2013 I have worked in the bedding industry for more than 6 years. so I could say with confidence that these would be my recommendations for buying a bed in Australia and especially from a well known brand : 1. Don't be fooled by the exterior of the bed. manufacturers deliberately make it look good because they know that customers buy based on looks as well.

they spend more time inventing fancy names for the beds and creating the attractive look than on high quality inside, 2. Don't buy a mattress with cushion top attached to it. the cushion top is designed not to last, so that you come back soon to buy a new mattress. that is how they make money. The higher the cushion top and softer the faster it will collapse and have body impression. buy a mattress without a cushion top then buy a good quality mattress topper that you could clean and replace later on. 3. the warranty is a useless piece of paper. make sure you can deal with the retailer and not with the manufacturer. replied on Feb 12, 2013 4. All the big brands and others in Australia use mostly synthetic materials inside ( mostly petroleum based ). cheap foam and polyester with different compositions. They also use fancy names for them for marketing purposes . Those cheap materials don't breath and make you hot and they deteriorate very quickly. 5. When the manufacturer claims they use natural fibers( such as wool and cotton and mohair and cashmere and alpaca ...etc. ) in the mattress then what they really mean is a very very small percentage of some natural fibers blended with mostly synthetic materials ( polyester ).

the percentage is 3% to 5% at the very best. and is primarily on the cushion top only. 6. most the latex used in the beds are aether 100% synthetic latex or a blend of natural with synthetic. the percentage is 80% synthetic and 20% natural on the more expensive beds. 100% natural latex is rare and any one claims 100% natural then ask them to put that in writing. most latex used in beds are a very thin layer on top. 7. Sales people are there to convince you to buy from THEM and buy WHAT THEY HAVE . that's the only way for them to keep their jobs. To do that they have to convince you what they are selling is THE BEST THING YOU COULD BUY. 8. There are very limited number of components used in making any mattress ( and base ) regardless of the brand name . The huge variations in the market is DUE TO marketing game. Retailers don t want to compete on price with each other and don't want customers to bargain them on price going from store to store, so they ask the manufacturer to make an exclusive range for them, the manufacturer then gives the same beds they gave other retailers with minimal difference if any.
