These are the pros and cons I have experienced with the chair:Cons:-As it is not possible to slide my baby into the chair (legs kicking all the time and the opening is rather small), I have to remove the tray every time I put her in the chair. Over the past month, the tray had difficulty locking.
Now the tray seems to be coming apart and will not lock. I don't have a safe place to put my daughter now for meals! This is disappointing given the very high cost of this chair and problems in such a short period of use-Food can get stuck under tray; also, if you don't wipe down the chair or tray immediately, stains require quite a bit of scrubbing to remove-The seat has a bit of a "wiggle" that has been present since the chair was put together. It rocks when my baby leans from side to side but not to the pointPros:-clean, modern look-stable base with reasonable footprint - baby loves to climb the pedestal and can't knock the chair over-pretty easy to clean the seat and seat cushion. We have had all types of food and diaper leaks just stick the seat cushion in the sink-tray is okay to clean but does have a crevice along the bottom side-tray liner is not necessary (can put food directly on the tray and one less thing to wash) - it is now an additional "toy" for the baby!A few months ago I would have given the chair a 4 (minus 1 for the wiggling), but I have to dock off stars for the inability to use the chair despite such a high cost.
I have contacted Boon for a replacement tray and will update this review based on customer service.Update: 9/22/14Boon replied to my email promptly (eg, the next morning) and offered a complimentary replacement tray. Unfortunately only dark gray was available and they sent it after 10 days (despite estimating that it would arrive withint 5-7 days). It really should have been expedited for the inconvenience (it's not like I have an extra high chair to use in the meantime). In addition, they were unwilling to offer a discount for the white tray for purchased when it becomes available. So I no longer have a sleek looking high chair as the tray doesn't match and it looks ugly.I also showed Boon the video of the chair wiggling ~1.5 inches and they reassured me that this is normal. They really need to improve this, there is no reason that a chair should be wobbly. My now 11 month old baby thinks it's fun to shake the chair side to side throughout the meal... Ignore how cool this looks, don't buy it!
