What is a blockchain and how does it work?

Blockchain is made up of the words Block and Chain. This technology is actually a chain of blocks.

In general, blockchain is a type of information and reporting system.

The difference with other systems is that the information stored on this type of system is shared among all members of the network, and it is almost impossible to delete and manipulate the recorded information using encryption.

Bitcoin was the first application of this technology and used the Chinese blockchain to store user asset information. If the Chinese blockchain is an operating system, Bitcoin is the software on that operating system.

In each block, any information can be recorded, from a person's crimes to displaying account information for assets such as Bitcoin. In the Chinese blockchain, the information is placed in blocks and linked together in a chain.

Consider, for example, the following blockchain, each block showing a country in which the names of the cities in that country are registered.

There is something else. Each of these blocks has something called a hash. A hash is a string of characters that is created with certain functions.

In the Chinese block, the next hash blocks also contain the previous block hash.

The hash in each block of China is obtained with a special mathematical function that the developers specify. The smallest change in a block's information changes its hash in general.

For example, if a character is added to the name information of Iranian cities, the hash block will change and as a result the next blocks will become invalid, which is why this blockchain technology is called blockchain.

What happens if someone changes the content of one block and updates the hash of the next block? This is possible, but you did not consider the distribution. Blockchain data is not stored on a specific computer or server. Each computer or system connected to the network receives a copy of the Chinese block.

An example:

In a group of 100 people, I pick up a piece of information and everyone takes a picture of it with their cell phone. Now, if I destroy that information or change it, it is no longer acceptable to that group because they have a copy of the original version, unless I take everyone's mobile and delete it.

Now this group can be public and over several million people, which we see in Bitcoin and Atrium and other Chinese blockchain currencies, or privately for a specific community. Blockchain is a typical Chinese blockchain company.

When you connect to a Chinese block, you get a copy of the whole Chinese block. No changes to the Chinese blockchain are possible unless more than 50% of the data on the computer connected to the network is changed.

In fact, China's blockchain technology is not in itself a fundamental technology, but a set of hashing and encryption processes, mass distribution, and so on that have led to the idea of blockchain.
