Bio

My name is Patrick Nzabonimpa, I am a creative writer and poet from Rwanda. I started writing when I was in secondary schools, where I used to write compositions and essays. In 2017, I started sharing my works on different platforms, including social medias, blog and Wattpad app. I later joined Afflatus Africa, an organization that empowers youth by helping them to unveil their potential through reading and writing. Until now, I volunteer as social media manager and writer. I publish articles and event reports on their blog and website.

In 2018, I wrote my first fiction story. I later applied for pen pen African writers residency with a non-fiction story about African Identity, and I was selected. Nowadays I am interested in writing local non-fiction stories. At the residency, I am working on two stories that tackle about African Identity. One is about my childhood and another one is about religion.
