No other PVCu bi-folding door has been tested to over 127,000 full opening cycles; and with low U-values, PAS:24 and Secured By Design accreditation, the Liniar ModLok™ is in a class of its own.

Ideal for large openings, ModLok™ bi-folds enable you to open up an entire wall of your room – creating space and letting fresh air and natural daylight flood into your home. Whether you have a bedroom with Juliette balcony, a kitchen-diner, a conservatory or an orangery, Liniar ModLok™ bi-folding doors can provide a stunning alternative to patio or French doors. Available in wide choice of opening configurations and colours, the Liniar ModLok™ bi-fold has ultra-slim sightlines, providing rooms with a clean, modern appearance. Safety features include the innovative low threshold option for family friendly and wheelchair use. What’s more, Liniar bi-fold doors offer high energy efficiency, combined with the best security features on the market – bringing you a modern space-saving solution for your home that will definitely give it the ‘wow’ factor. Find out about the range of thresholds available. One of the most effective ways you can save energy within your home is through installing energy efficient windows, doors and roofs.

Liniar frames outperform the majority of other leading brands in the UK when it comes to thermal efficiency – mainly due to our innovative uPVC multi-chambered profile design. The thermal efficiency of a door is measured in U-values, which demonstrate how effective the door is at preventing the transfer of heat into and out of a building. The lower the U-value, the higher the doors’ effectiveness at keeping the heat inside your home when it’s cold outside. For greater thermal efficiency, the Liniar ModLok™ bi-folding range can be fitted with triple glazing, reaching an impressive U-value of 1.0 W/m²K, which means you’ll be able to enjoy a warmer and quieter home as well as lower energy bills. Bi-folding doors are becoming more popular than ever before, thanks in part to their regular appearance in television home make-over and lifestyle programmes. Timber and aluminium are often perceived as the only materials that can be used for bi-folding doors, but doors made from lead-free uPVC can actually offer many benefits:

With Liniar’s foiled woodgrain-effect options, your bi-folding doors can emulate the natural look of timber and you will never have to treat, sand or repaint them. If you choose our flat grey frames, your bi-folding doors will rival any comparable aluminium range on the market, offering superior energy efficiency at a more cost effective price. And Liniar’s ‘top of the range’ ModLok™ bi-fold doors offer even greater strength and rigidity, combining all of the structural benefits of an aluminium door set with the energy efficiency of uPVC. All Liniar bi-folding doors are ‘bottom rolling’, not top-hung – meaning no extra stresses are placed on your building’s lintel. Discover for yourself why more and more people are choosing Liniar’s bi-fold doors and benefiting from these versatile and attractive home improvements – and find out more about ModLok™ technology here. The Only Hydraulically-Operated Bi-Fold System Available Today! The patented SST-II Hydraulic Bi-Folding System opens vertically, allowing smooth, quiet access between environments with just the press of a button. By incorporating the SST-II Bi-Folding door or window System, the barrier between interior and exterior vanishes and the ambience of the outdoors is allowed to flow in. Design the SST-II into your interior spaces and watch walls disappear, allowing light and motion to easily move throughout. Hydraulically-Operated: The use of hydraulic cylinders eliminates cables, straps, locking mechanisms, pulley’s, springs, etc., offering the cleanest and least obstructive panel face in the market. Safety: Through the use of a hydraulic system, we have eliminated all pinch points and moving parts typically associated with a cable or strap system. Remotely-Located Power Unit: The power unit may be located anywhere in the building, thereby providing customers with quieter operation and contributing to a cleaner look.

Reduced Installation Costs: The simplicity of the SST-II mounting frame on our bi-fold system allows for the easiest installation in the market. All Steel Construction: Narrower steel profiles than cable or strap bi-fold doors in the market, allowing for more glass volume and greater visibility. Our steel-tube panels and integral mounting frame are shipped standard with red-oxide primer, ready for field finishing. For corrosive environments (sea-side or pool house installations), the panels and frame can be constructed from stainless steel. Both materials may be factory powder-coated in any standard RAL color. The adjacent color chart represents the full range of colors available in the RAL system and does not imply immediate availability. Customers may select from either a standard up/down, 2-button or key control for system operation. For added safety, all controls are constant-contact. A weather-resistant control is also available for outside entry through exterior installations.

If safety is a concern, or if remote transmitters are required, infrared photo eyes are available for installation adjacent to the hydraulically operated door or window system. Alternatively, a lead-edge sensor may be mounted to the bottom of the hydraulic door/window panel. Both can be programed to either stop, or stop and reverse the motion of the door or window panels. As a final layer of safety, we offer a single-unit warning horn and strobe light which will indicate operation of the system. Remote Transmitters offer ease of entry allowing for the user to open or close the hydraulic door or window system on approach. Transmitters – like the standard wall-mounted controls – are constant contact. For safety reasons, we require the inclusion of either photo eyes or a lead-edge sensor with use of remote transmitters. For installations requiring additional security or dealing with extreme negative wind pressures within the structure, automatic, electrically-actuated locks are available for securing the system panels to the frame.

Positioned adjacent to the cylinders, the locks latch closed over a pin welded to the frame. For turn-key products, we offer both inside-sash and front-set glass retainer systems as well as a variety of dual or single pane glazing options. All factory-supplied glass is laminated. Customers may also elect to clad their doors in field with a virtually unlimited number of coverings such as polycarbonate, steel or even wood. Contact us for weight limits. In the event of a power-outage, the hydraulic door or window system may be manually lowered through use of the included release valve. If the system must be opened in the event of a power-outage, and if the building has no generator, we can provide a 24v DC battery back-up system. The (2) 12v deep-cycle batteries must be purchased separately. The power unit consists of the motor and hydraulic fluid reservoir. The unit may be positioned at any location within the building – Close proximity to the hydraulic door or window is not necessary.
