Most states now ban disposal of yard waste and landscaping debris in landfills. This means that these types of materials should be going to composting facilities. We offer composting options at our affiliated landfills as well as at some Best Way Disposal transfer stations. Contact our Customer Service team, to see what options we offer in your area. Computers, monitors, televisions, and other electronics are considered E-Waste and should not be put out for pick up with your household waste. Visit the US EPA’s eCycling site to get ideas for the best way to manage your E-Waste. If you have any of these wastes, contact Best Way Disposal today and we’ll help you find the best solution. This is not an all-inclusive list, so please contact us today if you have questions. What if I have large items for pick up? Old TVs and other electronics? Small quantities of dry cell and alkaline batteries, like those used in flashlights, toys, and other small devices are not considered hazardous waste and can be disposed of with your household waste.

Lithium, lithium-ion, and nickel-cadmium (rechargeable) batteries; and lead acid (car) batteries contain metals which can be hazardous. Fortunately, they are also valuable, so recycling options exist. Fluorescent bulbs contain small amounts of mercury which are released as vapor if the bulbs are broken. Mercury can also be absorbed through the skin by handling broken fluorescent bulbs. The US EPA website offers suggestions for the safe disposal of fluorescent bulbs and other mercury containing products. Yard waste and landscaping debris? Diabetic supplies or other personal medical waste? What can I put in my recycling container? Curbside co-mingled recycling provides an easy way to participate in the Best Way Disposal recycling program. Simply place all of your clean recyclables in the single container we have provided and place it by the curb. Items that can be placed in the container are high density plastics #1 through #8, any clear, brown, blue or green glass, any aluminum cans, any bi-metal and steel cans, aluminum foil, brown bags, magazines, phone books, catalogs, cardboard, and newspapers.

You will find a complete list of acceptable items on our Residential Recycling page What can I not put in my recycling container? Recycling is important but there are items that are not currently practical for recycling either because they cannot be recycled or because they are considered hazardous material and need to be disposed of properly. Some of the things that cannot be easily recycled include: Boxes soiled with food, pizza boxes for example Any plastic that is not a bottle (e.g. plant pots, food containers or trays, medicine and pill containers) Sod, dirt, concrete, asphalt Shingles and other construction debris Household Hazardous Waste (fluorescents bulbs, motor oil, pesticides, chemicals, paint) cannot be recycled with other household materials Electronic waste, while e-waste is often recyclable, it cannot be recycled with other household materials Why doesn’t Best Way Disposal offer residential recycling in all locations? There are several ways to purchase products from The Original Mattress Factory.

If you are nearby one of our factory or store locations, we encourage you to stop in and see us. You are often able to take the product home with you right away or you can schedule pick-up or home delivery for a later date. For those of you living further away, we can ship to you via common carrier. Take The Product With You: Our factory showrooms typically stock all of our standard size models. Our store locations carry limited stock, but can have almost any product transferred to them within a few days. Please call a store near you for more information regarding proper pick-up procedures. We offer home delivery service in our local areas for a nominal charge. This delivery charge includes set-up of your Original Mattress products in your home. We can remove your old mattresses and box spring as well, but terms of service vary by location. In some markets, we have extended our home delivery service to outlying areas for an additional fee. Delivery turnaround is typically within 2-3 days, but frequency to certain areas also varies by location.

Please contact a store near you for specific information on delivery charges, timing and policies. For anyone living outside our local delivery areas, we can ship our mattresses to most states within the continental U.S. There are two different types of shipping that are available: Common Carrier Delivery: This is a tailgate delivery, so you will need to take the product(s) off the back of the truck and make arrangements to carry them into your home. Tailgate does not include removal of old mattresses and box springs. It typically takes 1-2 weeks for delivery. Home Delivery: Inside home delivery is also available in most areas. This means that the product(s) will be unloaded and taken inside the home for you. Removal is usually available for an additional charge. It typically takes 3-4 weeks for delivery. Please contact us for more information, as we will need to know the number of pieces (mattress, box spring or set), size, model and destination zip code in order to provide an estimate on shipping cost.
