We have plenty of options for places to stay but the Oliver is special and staying there is awesome with great service, good breakfast, and old time rooms. We will be coming back... Just Perfect - everything a B&B should be! on September 28, 2016Well maintained, nicely decorated and very clean. Plenty of space to sit and relax, both inside and outside. Alice and Tom are friendly and helpful, yet not intrusive. The breakfasts were gourmet and delicious, and flexible to accommodate our desire for meat-free and low carb meals.
They also promptly returned an item we left behind, which we greatly appreciated. Short walk to the museum, Oliver Mansion and restaurants. We didn't move our car for 3 days! I highly recommend going on a tour of the Oliver Mansion to appreciate staying in the Oliver Inn! We loved the Oliver Inn and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, which we extended because we loved it there so much. Thank you Alice and Tom! on September 25, 2016 We were very happy to have chosen The Oliver Inn as we travelled from New York to North Dakota. We arrived a little early and enjoyed sitting on the tree swing with our dog at our feet. Alice the innkeeper soon came out to welcome us and give us information about the Inn and the surrounding area. We were given a tour of the house and shown to our room which exceeded our expectations. remainder of the afternoon relaxing on our private porch enjoying freshly bakedAlice made reservations at Tippicanoe Place next door to the inn. It was so nice that we did not have to get back in the car to go to dinner.
We also appreciated the discount offered by the inn. After a comfortable night and a wonderful breakfast in elegant surroundings we followed Alice's directions to avoid construction to visit The Basilica at Notre Dame. On our next drive west we will definitely stay here again. on August 14, 2016 Tom and Alice make the Oliver Inn Bed & Breakfast an amazing experience, every time. Great hospitality and location on July 09, 2016 Very nice property and super friendly, welcoming hosts. We had a great experience for a couple of days especially after touring the very close South Bend museums. on June 16, 2016 This was a wonderful B&B with lots of charm and a great breakfast!! We toured the sites around town and they helped us with gift certificates to a couple restaurants which gave us a discount on the food. Very clean and they are wonderful hosts.
Wonderful Time at the Oliver Inn Bed and Breakfast on May 05, 2016 My girlfriend and I enjoyed a marvelous "girls' weekend away from it all" for two nights at the Oliver Inn Bed and Breakfast during the last weekend of April, 2016. I had already enjoyed my first stay there with my husband the previous August, and wanted to introduce my longtime girlfriend to the pleasure and luxury of staying a a first class bed and breakfast, as we try to get together once or twice per year to do something fun. My friend was not disappointed! Alice, one of the innkeepers, even prepared a special, tasty breakfast for her since she has dietary restrictions and cannot eat beef, pork or milk products. Alice is such an extraordinary cook that she prepares many of the desserts served at the swanky Tippicanoe Place restaurant, which is right next door. This was my girlfriend's first experience staying at a bed and breakfast. I'm afraid that I've spoiled her, because now she will expect the same level of cleanliness, service, and food at other B & Bs, along with the beautiful decor inside, and the lovely, restful gardens outside!
