So great for the price helps my back while I am in bed sleeping It folds up in the middle no matter what way you place it. I was concerned when it did not state how many magnets were contained in this product. The answer is 10 small nickel size magnets. The outside Quilting was already coming apart. I used this product for 3 nights. The pad I had made worked so much better. I have returned this product. I will say this is the first time I have not been happy with a product from Overstock. Not sure it is Therapeutic This is smaller and thinner than I expected. My back doesn't hurt! This was amazing, I used to wake up every morning with a very achy back. Now it doesn't hurt at all when I wake up. The only thing I don't like about it is it suppose to be a body mat and it only covers me from my shoulders to my butt when I lay on it. I am 5'7"-but all in all it was a great purchase from me. I was skeptical that magnets can actually work to heal pains-but I'm telling you it works!

I love you Overstock-you are the best. Better Than I Imagined I've used several very expensive magnetic therapy blankets and had been led to believe that it had to be expensive to work. I really wanted one for my preschool son, but I did not want to put out the expense for one like I had previously used. When I got this one in, I put it on my bed to test it. Now I'm having to buy another one for him. Not only are my back issues greatly decreased, but I can guarantee that I will have a deep sound sleep, which for an insomniac is an amazing difference. I came back online tonight to see if I can find a bigger one for me, or else to get some more for all of my family. Surprise gift for husband With husband's back complaints while he was out of town I snuck this under the sheets on his side of the bed. Until he returned I noticed I would fall asleep with my arthritic hands and a foot dangled over it! Made me feel better, even it in my head! LIked it so much I bought the smaller health pad, put a cotton quilted pillowcase over it and use in my wingback recliner.

Sometimes on my back, sometimes I just sit on it! A friend called me about a book call "Natural Cures." She knew my mother has been suffering with severe muscle pain for the last six month. She read in this book that one cure for fibromyalgia is a magnetic pad. So I bought this one to try it out. It has provided my mother with significant relief and improvement from her pain. I have been telling lots of people to look into it. One of my friends is going to purchase one for her MS. Nice helpful comfort pad I use every night and I fell that helps to sleep better and painlessly. It works for me, definitely. ELECTRIC MATTRESS PAD VS. People frequently ask us whether an electric blanket is better than an electric mattress pad. The choice of electric mattress cover or electric blanket is mostly a matter of user preference. However in the United States, many people do not know that warming mattress pads exist and that warming mattress pads do have a few inherent advantages over warming blankets.

The major ones are: Actual Energy Use page. Electric mattress pads are inherently safer from overheating since the pad is held flat to the mattress (i.e. fitted) and generally cannot be balled up as a blanket may become. (When a blanket is balled up, there is no place for the heat in the middle of the ball to escape, the major cause of electric blanket fires or scorches.) Mattress Pads tend to be more durable than electric blankets since they are not being tossed around, pulled and pushed, etc. because the skirt holds them flat and relatively immovable. If you use a heated mattress pad, you are then free to use whatever form of blanket, comforter, duvet, spread, etc. you prefer on the top of your bed. Interestingly enough, around 85% of the warming bedding products sold in the USA are blankets and not mattress pads whereas in Europe, the reverse is true. (In most other countries, what is called a mattress pad in the USA is frequently referred to as an “underblanket” or a "fitted blanket".)

Within the past few years the percentage of pads sold in the United States seems to be increasing somewhat as more and more people learn of their existence and learn of their therapeutic value. Things You MUSTKnow When Buying Electric Bedding. There's nothing that ruins the feeling of just-cleaned sheets like realizing that your protective mattress pad is looking a little... yellow. We all know you're supposed to wash your sheets every one or two weeks, but what about this pesky thing under your sheets?  Our expert is here to share her wisdom. But first things first, when we say mattress pad, we mean a traditional protective covering like this. Pillowy toppers are a different story since they come in so many varieties (consult the care label for the best washing instructions), and the foam versions can't be washed at all. You'll want to replace your topper when they're not comfortable or supportive anymore. But here's the scoop on mattress pads:"It's only necessary to wash your mattress pad several times per year," says Carolyn Forte, director of the Cleaning Lab at the Good Housekeeping Institute. "

Sheets generally take more wear and tear than a mattress pad which is why they are washed more often."This makes sense: You lay directly on top of the sheets, so they're the first line of defense against body oils and dust getting to your mattress. Your mattress pad bears of that brunt, too, but not quite as much.Forte recommends following the care label for specific cleaning directions, but in general, most mattress pads can be machine-washed in warm water and tumbled on low to dry.If you have allergies, or let your dog or cat sleep in your bed, you might need to clean your pad more often. Gauge how much you should increase the frequency by considering the severity of your symptoms or how much your pet sheds. By trial and error, you might find that it's necessary to wash the pad as often as weekly. And if you spill food or drink, notice a stain, or find that it's stretched out, wash the pad immediately. It's not everyday you have a bare mattress, so Forte recommends using this time to vacuum up dust (sprinkle the mattress with a little baking soda first to absorb odors).
