Superman, Aquaman and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man join the ranks of LEGO Dimensions’ cross-property cavalcade today, but the biggest addition is the Midway Arcade Level Pack, loaded with 20 playable LEGO-ized arcade classics. Did you know Warner Bros. owns the rights to all of Midway’s classic arcade games? They do, which explains the inclusion of *deep breath* Seven Twenty, Badlands, Blasteroids, Championship Sprint, Defender, Defender II, Gauntlet, Gauntlet II, KLAX, Joust, Joust 2, Marble Madness, Paperboy, Rampage, Road Blasters, Robron, Spyhunter, SuperSprint, Timber, Toobin, Cyberball, Vindicators and Xybots in the final Level Pack for LEGO toys to life game. Sneaky, putting an arcade game compilation in LEGO Dimensions. Along with the games there’s also an entire arcade world for the Arcade Kid minigiure to explore with his faithful buildable companions, Spy Hunter car and arcade cabinet. The Midway Arcade Level Pack for LEGO Dimensions is available today for $29.99 MSRP, though I’ve seen a couple of places selling it for $19.99, which is a steal.
Aquaman, Superman and Stay Puft Fun Packs should be somewhere between $10 and $15, depending on where you get em. Three new expansion packs for LEGO Dimensions will release this coming February, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced. The LEGO Batman Movie Story Pack and Excalibur Batman Fun Pack will release on February 10 to coincide with release of The LEGO Batman Movie. The forthcoming Knight Rider Fun Pack will launch on that date as well. The aforementioned Story Pack includes a narrative-focused experience that features six levels and new LEGO Gateway bricks that can be assembled into the Bat-Computer. Batgirl and Robin minifigures, as well as a contractible Batwing that can be rebuilt into The Black Thunder and Bat-Tank are included as well. Meanwhile, the Excalibur Fun Pack brings with it a new Batman minifigure, as well as a buildable Bionic Steed, which can also be reassembled into the Bat-Raptor and Ultrabat.
The pack also opens access to The LEGO Batman Movie's Battle Arena and Adventure World. Finally, the Knight Rider Fun Pack harkens back to the classic 80s TV series, offering a Michael Knight minifigure that can reassembled into the K.I.T.T. Jet and Goliath Armoured Semi. Warner Bros. is also supporting LEGO Dimensions with a slew of expansion packs coming later this year, including Sonic the Hedgehog, J.K.
