눉Mattress was terrible, I had to be moved to a different smaller room. Shower was poor and not that warm either. felt on display in the bathroom with not blind or curtain. They lost my credit card details despite reading out the last 3 digits the night before and telling me the make of the card so I'm awaiting the bill to confirm if I was charged twice. I wouldn't stay there again.눇Nice character property. Food was to a very high standard. 눉Breakfast wasn't included in price of overnight stay눇The staff were lovely. Beautiful old timbered building, each bedroom so different and full of character. 눉The food I chose was inedible - over-cooked pasta swimming in oil - chef said that was the way it was supposed to be served. Avoid room 7 - the bed is exceptionally uncomfortable - mattress very soft and a big horizontal dip a third of the way down the bed.눇Open fire in the bar gave good atmosphere 눉Our room was a little tired - would benefit from freshening the decor.눇The warm welcome and attentive staff. The excellent home cooked food. 눉Rooms very hot. At front of hotel needed window open and consequently road noise loud.눇Excellent staff, very friendly, good choice of food and drink. 눇We have stayed here three or four times and the welcome is always warm, and a fuss made of the dog. We ate in the bar for the first time on our latest visit and, although it was very busy the service was good and the food excellent. I
