In a commanding position, to one side of the picturesque harbour, the Dome Hotel in Kyrenia, continues to exude its Colonial charm and offers good, old-fashioned service with comfortable, well-appointed rooms. Its attractions, however, far outweigh any sense of nostalgia. The Dome Hotel has a extensive seafront terraces with a large outdoor freshwater pool as well as its seawater rock pool. Rooms are large, and many rooms on the second floor (American numbering) have huge balconies. Sea view rooms serve up the sea close and in spectacular fashion, with no road to get in the way. Land-side rooms have nice mountain views and although there is a road, the modern double glazing keeps any sound out.

Usually the best present for my birthday from my boyfriend is trip abroad. This year we had some reasons not to travel far away, but why to break tradition? So, we decided to make weekend trip to the north part of Cyprus. We already have been in Kyrenia several times, but always in spring time and choose the place to stay not in the center of city but closer to beaches. As this time our trip happened in winter, we decided to stop in Kyrenia center. At first we even did not consider Dome hotel, as it seemed expensive, and from reviews it could be concluded that it is overpriced. But after checking of prices and comparison with other options we decided to risk. And we were not disappointed . . .
