We have 10 small, uniquely decorated guest rooms, each with its own private bathroom and shower, as well as cable TV. We are located a 2 minute walk to the City Centre and main ski bus stop, and a 7 minute walk to the Banff Centre for the Arts. We operate in the Town of Banff, in the heart of Banff National Park, a scenic location that attracts 4 million visitors each year. Banff is known worldwide for its scenic mountain panoramas, fabulous powder snow skiing, culture and arts, and as a prime location for conferences and festivals.
Banff is 5 minutes off the Trans-Canada Highway. It takes just 35 minutes to drive to Lake Louise. The next International Airport is Calgary, a 1.5 hours drive from Banff on the Trans-Canada Highway. It takes 1 hour to drive to the outskirts of Calgary. A few operating numbers from 2016:The average occupancy rate is 82.35%The average daily room rate is $135.30 2015 was an amazing year and we started strong in 2016 with double the advance bookings in comparison to the previous years, although we slightly raised the rates. 3 of our competitors from the hotel industry left our market segment this year to make space for the "Moose" hotel. 2016 has been our most successful year. 2017 starts well, as of today, January 2017, we have already more than $185.000 in advance bookings. Other news is that another competitor, The Homestead Inn, is about to be redeveloped as well. The low Canadian Dollar is fantastic for the tourism industry and the outlook is for a low dollar in the future as well.
