From eateries to meeting spaces, to a range of departments within Student Affairs, the Student Union is the hub of campus activity. Stop by to eat, have fun with friends and become part of your Comet community! Billiard tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and a selection of board games are offered through the recreation desk. For table tennis fans, the Student Union has four tables and equipment for check-out. The Comet Lounge on the second floor includes a large open space and fireplace. The TV Lounge on the first floor features bean bag chairs and gaming TVs. Orion Lounge is a small lounge on the first floor with an area for reading, study or conversation. Adjacent to The Pub, The Patio is an outdoor option with shaded dining. There are also picnic tables surrounding the Student Union, as well as the Plinth, a space for outdoor events and concerts. Registered student organizations, staff and faculty must use the Room Reservation System to request facilities in the Student Union other campus venues.

The Pub also has TVs, pool tables and a small venue for events. Student Union Food Court The Student Union Food Court includes a Panda Express, Moe's Southwest Grill, Chick-fil-A and 2Mato. All venues in this location offer a meal exchange option for those signed up for a University meal plan. The Comet Café features a Subway, the Create salad bar, Outtakes grab-and-go and Ben and Jerry's ice cream. SU 2.510 — Child care is offered Monday-Thursday from 3:30 to 10 p.m. for students attending class during those times. Care is available for children ages 4-11, and pre-registration is required. SU 2.204 — At the Comet Center, students can pick up their Comet Card, purchase discount tickets, receive free notarization services, buy postage stamps and more.
SU 2.401 — Comet Spirit Programs include the UT Dallas mascot, cheerleaders, power dancers, a pep band and the Crush Crew. Fraternity and Sorority Life SU 1.610 — UT Dallas is home to 24 national Greek-letter fraternities and sororities from the Inter-fraternity council, the United Greek Council, the National Pan-Hellenic Council and the College Pan-Hellenic Council. SU 2.506 — Meteor Theater is UT Dallas' student-run movie program that screens popular films throughout the school year. SU 2.401 — Student Government is the official student voice to UT Dallas administration, the UT System Board of Regents and other governmental entities. SU 2.401 — Student Leadership Programs offer non-credit classes and workshops in leadership development throughout the year. SU 1.601 — Student Media includes The Mercury, Radio UTD, UTD TV and A Modest Proposal. SU 2.416 — There are nearly 300 student organizations that play an important role in campus life.
