Stayed at Wild Dunes. This is the chair company that they use. Getting a reservation was very easy. Chairs were set up when they promised, and perfect distance from water. Chairs were comfortable, umbrella provided enough shade. Would use them again. We ran into this company on the beach and rented 4 chairs & 2 umbrellas for $60. The chairs were comfortable and the umbrellas provided lots of shade. My only complaint is there was a couple next to us who snuck there way into some empty chairs and umbrellas next to us and never paid! They even had their personal... I was referred to this company based on a forum post I made. I reached out about getting two chairs and an umbrella for a recent trip and heard back from them promptly. As I continued to finalize our itinerary, I realized we'd really only be at the beach for a few hours one afternoon and I was concerned that... This is the 2nd year we've used this company. Our chairs were set up exactly where we needed them with our name on the tag. We didn't have to search for them or wonder where they were. Don't let their appearance fool you....these chairs are very comfortable... My husband was reluctant to use these. He thought paying $30 dollars for chairs and an umbrella was crazy. His mind was was quickly changed! The first day we called and reserved chairs. By the time we got to the beach, they were already up, which was earlier than originally told. The second day we just rented from the guy... This is the only way to stay on the beach with my friends for over 6-8 hours. Depending on where you are located, the chairs will be up not long after sunrise and maybe there until 5:00 or later in the evening. You can read lots of magazines and books while not worrying about the sun. We love the beach umbrellas and chairs! During the HOT summer, the beach is unbearable without shade during the daytime. We rented chairs and umbrellas for family renting a beach house near us a couple of years ago and plan to do it again for their trip here this August.
We loved having our beach chairs and umbrellas setup and ready for us each day. We called it our "base of operation" allowed us to come and go as we pleased without having to drag a bunch of stuff down to the beach. They had everything setup early in the morning and packed it all up in the early evening.... Called to find out details on how to rent... The lady on the phone was extremely helpful from how it was best to call from the beach... To giving us suggestions on the best places to choose to access the beach! Literally only took 10 mins for the guy to arrive to set up 3 chairs with the umbrella for... I called on my way to the IOP beach from Charlotte, and our umbrella & chairs were waiting for us when we got there!!
