If so, where and how much? And do you think the beaches at Charleston are better or worse than Tybee Island? To that, I mean ability to get to, being clean, and so forth. One destination mentioned in this post When we were at Tybee I did not notice any rentals like that. Though maybe more in to summertime there are? Tybee is a very small beach. I doubt if anyone rents them out except the hotels/motels that are on the beach. I may be wrong, but I don't recall seeing any. There may be something near the Pier. Your best bet would be to inquire from where ever you are staying. It's very easy to get to the Tybee beach. Just go straight through Savannah and head East. As far as being clean, that depends a lot on when you are coming, and where you will be staying.
I am sorry that I can't give you any definite information. We just run down to the beach for a few hours. I can't imagine going to the trouble of chairs and umbrellas. Probably no rentals, but you can buy all of this stuff at Christy's. When you down 16th (Tybrisa) toward the pier, Christy's is the last store on your right. Chu's, right before it, might have the same stuff you are looking for. Prices are extremely reasonable - probably cheaper to buy it there than to rent. Tybee is a beautiful place, have fun! Tim's beach gear rents all kinds of great things! We've used them for several years and are always pleased!!! Where we stayed near 6th and Butler they had girls that rented chairs and umbrellas, they even set the umbrellas up for people. The cost of the chair was $5.00 and you could keep it until 4:30 pm. But, all bed linens and bath and kitchen towels are provided.
Linens and towels are not changed during your stay, however if you desire, and for an additional housekeeping fee, you can schedule a mid-stay clean with our housekeeping department. All of our properties have access to a washer and dryer either in the property or in the case of the Savannah Beach & Racquet Club A & B units, there are coin washers and dryers on the premises if you need to launder your linens and/or towels during your stay or, for an additional charge, you contact our housekeeping department and order additional items. Is there a grocery store on Tybee?Tybee Market/IGA is a small grocery store with a floral department and deli right here on Tybee. You can order groceries and/or flowers by phone or on-line and they'll even deliver to your rental property. The larger chain stores, Publix and Kroger, are also nearby on adjacent Wilmington and Whitemarsh Islands. I have more vehicles than the property will allow - where do I park them? All vehicles in excess of the number permitted must park in public parking.
There is no free parking on Tybee Island between 8 AM and 8 PM so parking fees will apply. Two day parking passes are available in our office at a reduced rate. Is the beach free? Our public beach is free, however parking is not between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, so parking fees may apply. How do I find your office? Click here to go to our “Driving Directions” page. What time is Check-in and Check-out? Normal Check-In Time is between 4:00 PM and 5:30 PM. We cannot guarantee a specific Check-In time and access to the property will NOT be permitted until the property has been cleaned and inspected. Check-Out Time is BEFORE 10 AM. Overstaying the Check-Out time of 10:00 AM may result in additional charges. Are there beach chairs and umbrellas? Most properties do not offer beach chairs and/or umbrellas, however there are places to rent beach gear, bikes, etc. You can click here to go to some links that may be helpful. Are paper products / toiletries provided?
We provision our properties with a "starter" supply of bath and dish soaps, paper towels, toilet paper and dishwasher tabs. For shorter stays (2-3 days), these supplies may be enough for your entire stay, but for longer stays (4 days or more) you may want to bring extra supplies or purchase them locally after you arrive. Can I check in early or check out late? We cannot guarantee an early check in, however you may contact our office after 1:00 PM the day of your arrival to see if your property is ready. Tybee Island properties are booked so solidly during the In-Season that it is quite a feat to get them cleaned, inspected and ready for the next guests coming in, but our housekeeping and maintenance departments rise to the tasks and do a wonderful job. Because of our busy summer seasons we do not allow late check outs from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, however during the rest of the year you may contact our office no later than 1:00 PM the day prior to your scheduled departure to discuss the possibility.

All reservations become binding upon Tybee Beach Vacation Rentals' receipt of the non-refundable rental fee required at the time the reservation is made. If the reservation is cancelled for any reason, the non-refundable rental fee shall be forfeited. CSA Trip Interruption/Cancellation Insurance is available through Tybee Beach Vacation Rentals and other 3rd party vendors to cover most circumstances that would result in a cancellation or interruption of your trip.
