If you are having an evening ceremony, it may be tricky to get a prime spot by the water as families and avid beach goers beginning camping out around 8:30 AM.  Our recommendation is to assign one of your wedding guests a very special task:   Hit the beach early with a big blanket and chairs right by the edge of the ocean  and soak in the sun for most of the day until you’re ready for a changing of the guard.  It should be easy to find volunteers (this person could be someone you’d like a safe distance away while you’re getting ready you may already have someone in mind 🙂  Once the Beach Set Up team arrives (usually at least 45 minutes prior to your ceremony), simply alert them to where you would like them to set up the Archway and chair rentals and they’ll take care of the rest.  The closer you are to the water, the less likely you’ll have anyone behind you in the pictures. The best bet for a successful beach wedding set up is to keep it simple.  The first measure of success is not blowing in the ocean.  Y




ou may see pictures on the internet of elaborate archways with billowing sails of cloth.  While that may work in the Caribbean or the South Pacific, that approach is usually unrealistic on the Ocean City MD beach.   Our strong breezes are great for keeping the wedding party cool on a warm day, but wreak havoc on flimsy or overly ornate archways.
