Are there any beach hotels / companies that rent out chairs and umbrellas and how much do they rent them out for? It may be cheaper to buy them locally at the likes of Walmart or Target then simply leave them if you don't want to carry them home at the end of your stay. There is one rental company allowed to rent chairs and umbrellas right on the beach- the city owns the beach and has given them exclusive rights. My memory is that they charge $10/day for a chair. Some of the hotels along the beach include that in their reservation, others not- so you can check that on arrival. Otherwise, as Chuts has said, many visitors are better off buying a chair, but none of the places he mentioned have stores anywhere near the beach- so if you don't pass one of those on the way in , your best bets on the beach are the CVS at Beachplace - or further north , some of the small shops just south of Sunrise Blvd along A1A- one of our recent visitors found one displaying a chair rental for $3/day sign.

I don't know what they charge for umbrellas, but likely the same monopolistic tourist gouging price - so check with the hotel first ( I think Hilton and Westin may provide chairs for their guests but I'm not certain). Otherwise, for an extended stay you're much better off just buying these items and leaving them behind. If you are staying at a small motel , they may have some left behind by others to loan you.. When you walk down to the beach, you will see chairs/cabanas/umbrellas there(run by a beach concession). The chairs are $10 each, and there is a package deal that includes 2 chairs/umbrella, but I forget how much it is.You can just sit in any vacant chairs, and the guy from the beach concession will come up to you for you to pay. If you're there for more than a couple days, I agree buying cheap chairs is the way to go. There is a CVS right across from the Gallery One. This CVS has lots of groceries/beer/ wine as well. Right across the street as well is a little french bakery(on the corner of Sunrise and Seminole), that has the best french pastries and coffee.

One destination mentioned in this post On the small strip mall between the B Ocean and Primanti Brothers there are some stores which rent out chairs for $3 per day, but they are only the cheap type that you could buy from CVS or Walmart. where are you staying? liek Lulu said, many hotels include the chairs in the price of the room. most smaller places have their own stock of chairs for you to carry to the beach. maybe you will get lucky and find some chairs that someone left behind. we bought two for our last stay and left them by a tree with a free sign attached aww...how sweet of you- I m 99% sure that I will be staying at Gallery One which is not on the beach,...when I was in Miami last year, I rented from the Delano and it was expensive. but sooo comfy...i think i can splurge on that part if my trip.lol -:- Message from TripAdvisor staff -:-This topic has been closed to new posts due to inactivity.
