Please like us on Facebook!We were in OBX 2 years ago (Corolla Light) - there were college kids on the beach that would set up umbrella and chairs everyday - does anyone know what compnay and how much the rentals are? We have a larger group going this time and think this would be a nice convenience. That must have been part of the resort itself. Most of Corolla doesn't have service like that. The resort also features Oceanside townhouse style Villas and the town homes and condos of Mirage. Corolla Light offers great amenities and activities for everyone including the indoor pool and fitness center, 4 outdoor life guarded pools, a private security patrol, and Trolley service within the community during the summer months. The Oceanside features a mile of Oceanfront beach, Oceanfront dining at The Oceanfront Grille (see website for open dates), a snack hut, three Oceanfront swimming pools (one shallow pool for kids to enjoy), outdoor bathrooms, sundeck with lounge chairs, walkway to the beach, an Oceanfront gazebo, and beach chair and umbrella rentals at the beach. The Oceanside amenities also include a playground, lighted basketball and shuffleboard courts, putting green, sand volleyball court and weekly activities for everyone! Some of the weekly activities (running from late May to early September) include free throw competition, bingo, tennis tournament, big daddy splash, scavenger hunt, sandcastle building contest and much more!
Soundside amenities include a soundside swimming pool with a baby pool, ecology and nature trails, pier and gazebo, picnic areas, soccer field, and the Richard A. Brindley Sports Center. The Richard A. Brindley Sports Center (open year round) offers indoor amenities to all guests staying in Corolla Light such as a 25-meter, eight lane indoor pool, 12-person spa, walleyball court, two indoor clay tennis courts (fee to reserve these courts), full size weight room, fitness room with Treadmills, Stair Master, stationary bikes, and Elliptical trainers, men's and women's locker rooms, Aerobics room and the Corolla Light sportswear gift shop. Corolla light now offers reduced rates at select golf courses in the area. Additional information will be in your Corolla Light Amenity packet at check-in. Throughout the Corolla Light resort, you will also find four lighted, outdoor hard surface tennis courts, four lighted outdoor clay tennis courts, fishing ponds, biking and walking trails and Trolley service (Stops every 25-30 minutes and runs from Memorial Day – Labor Day) to anywhere you want to go within the community.
