Suspected drunk driver kills 7-year-old girl in Seal Beach crash A 7-year-old girl was killed and her sister and father were injured Monday in a multi-vehicle crash in Seal Beach that authorities say was caused by a suspected drunk driver.Authorities received multiple calls reporting the crash on the northbound 405 Freeway near Seal Beach Boulevard about 9:30 a.m., said California Highway Patrol Officer Denise Quesada. Paramedics transported three members of a Bay Area family to Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. The 7-year-old was pronounced dead, her 13-year-old sister was in critical condition and their father was hospitalized with moderate to major injuries. None of their names has been released. The father, 49, was driving a 2015 Tesla Model S sedan in the carpool lane with his two daughters in the back seat, according to Tom Joy, public information officer for the CHP. The driver of a 2013 Chevy Tahoe, Adam Kanas, 36, of San Clemente, crossed the double yellow lines into the carpool lane and rear-ended the Tesla, pinning it against a 2012 Honda Civic that was driving ahead in the same lane, Joy said.

“The rear end of the Tesla was pushed all the way in,” he said. Capt. Steve Concialdi of the Orange County Fire Authority said the Tesla was so damaged that firefighters had to extract the injured girls through the front door on the driver’s side. “Any time a child dies in a crash, our hearts break for the family,” Concialdi said. “This was a very tragic accident.” The people in the Civic, a 28-year-old man from San Diego and two passengers, were not injured, but the car sustained heavy damage. Before the crash, the CHP received calls reporting that Kanas was driving erratically. “We had a unit trying to catch up to him,” Joy said. “But he crashed moments before they were able to get there.”At the scene, Kanas exhibited signs of inebriation and was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, authorities said.  ALSOFormer U.S. Rep. © 2017, Los Angeles TimesBuffalo Bills’ offensive line coach Aaron Kromer was arrested in Florida early Sunday after allegedly pushing a boy for using his beach chairs, cops say. Kromer, 48, was cuffed at his Inlet Beach home at 1:30 a.m. and booked on misdemeanor battery charges, the Walton County Sheriff’s Office said. He was released an hour and a half later. The altercation came sometime on Saturday, when Kromer and his son spotted three teenagers fishing on the beach near his waterfront home, the alleged victim told police. They had been using lawn chairs presumably owned by the coach. Kromer’s son confronted the teens before Kromer himself grabbed their fishing pole and cast it into the water, according to the sheriff’s department. The irate trainer then allegedly pushed one of the boys to the ground and socked him in the face. Kromer told the boys to return the lawn chairs to where they got them, then issued a warning: If the boy reported him to police “he would kill his family,” police said.

The coach has a 21-year-old son, Zak, who has posted several pictures of his family at Walton County’s Rosemary Beach on social media. Many of the photos feature high-backed wooden beach chairs arranged in a circle, sometimes next to a fire pit and coolers in the sand. Deputies learned of the alleged fracas after responding to a call to an Inlet Beach residence Saturday night. Kromer was booked into the Walton County Jail but released on bond. At least one of the boys is related to a neighboring resident, Walton County sheriff’s spokeswoman Corey Dobridnia told The Daily Beast. She declined to provide further information on the alleged victim and his pals. “Our No. 1 priority is protecting the victim,” she said. The Buffalo Bills released a statement saying the team is “aware of the report and in the process of gathering the facts.” In the state of Florida, charging someone with misdemeanor and felony battery is at the deputy’s discretion—meaning the charges are subject to change, Dobridnia said.

Cozy Beach House- Great vacation in destin Reviewed on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 Our stay in the cozy beach house was great. Any kitchen item you needed was provided. We used the bikes and toys in garage. There were 8 of us and everyone had their own spAce. The walks to the beach everyday and fishing at the nearby piers made this a vacation to remember. Cozy Beach House - Clean little cottage Reviewed on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 We only stayed at the cottage for one day but was very happy with our stay. When we got to the cottage my 13 year old grandson and I went for a ride on the bikes along with his Dad. Something we have always wanted to do in Destin. It was just a short walk to the beach but as we where there only one day we made the walk just a few times.

The upstairs room is very large and sitting on the swing having morning coffee was a joy. My 7 year old grandson loved the outside shower. My husband and I took the room with the twin bed and he said it was like sleeping in a candy wrapper as the beds had plastic bed pads on the mattress. I understand that if there is small children you might need them to save the mattress and put the plastic on the beds. but makes for a bad night sleep. If I had thought I would have taken them off the beds. But all in all our stay was nice. Cozy Beach House - A Great House and Location in Destin!
