Cons Lots of metrics to try and meet, stores have gone to conversion, feel like executive managers are not listening when there are repetitive need that keep coming up they always say that will be next year... Old product does not move out quickly, Needs a refresh and a revamping of old stale product that never sells. Stores need up-dating with no budget to do so. Need new Point of Sale, POS system very dated and the company keeps putting off replacing it.
Advice to Management Bite the bullet, and get the new POS systems in stores!! Lead the way with new product don't follow others, and what has already been done. i.e.: PB Air that sofa was already done by RH! Move out the stale old PB product mark it down, and let it go! Follow through on commitments to the fleet of stores. Back off all the crazy number of metrics, and let your teams sell, and enjoy their jobs. Executives track and measure the metrics let your teams develop and train their people, and sell the product. Don't lead your teams with Payroll constraints Lead your teams with service success!! The business will come if your teams feel empowered to do so with out having to check ten to fifteen reports on how the business is doing every day!!
