Maki is currently at Tokyo Jujutsu High and was born into a Zenin Family. Born as a non-magician in the Three Great Magicians Family, Maki was constantly persecuted so that she eventually expelled herself from the Zenin clan.

Zenin Maki was born from one of the 3 big Clans in the Kaisen Jujutsu Universe, the Zenin Clan. Unfortunately, Maki is considered a failure in the Zenin Clan because she was not born to be a Jujutsushi (Wizard). He couldn't even see the curse which was the basic requirement to become a Jujutsushi.
