Please respect all guidelines set by the Y. These guidelines were created to ensure the happiness and safety of the membership and the Y Team.  Failure to do so may result in a termination of membership. PART 1 - Listed below are rules set forth by the Y administration.




PART 2 - Health and Fitness Guidelines. Accidents and InjuriesA majority of the Y staff are CPR and First Aid certified. Any accidents or injuries should be reported immediately to a Y staff member. Protocol requires an incident report be completed no matter how minor the incident. AlcoholAnyone suspected of using alcohol or drugs will not be permitted in the facility and will be asked to leave. AnimalsAnimals are not permitted in the Y facilities, except for Service Animals (usually defined as any animal that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of a person with disabilities.) AttireWorkout clothes (athletic shorts, t-shirts, sweats or leotards) and appropriate footwear is recommended in most facility areas. Street shoes are not allowed on wood floors or in pool areas. Proper swimming suits are required. Open-toe sandals and belts with buckles are forbidden on fitness equipment. The staff has the right to deem what is acceptable and non-acceptable attire as per our internal policy.




Child SupervisionChildren 7 years and younger must be under direct adult supervision when using the facility or participating in a supervised program activity. Please inquire about our Child Watch services. Children 11 years and younger must be under direct adult supervision when using the facility, unless they are participating in a program for which they are registered. For their safety, children under the age of 12 are not permitted to be left alone in the building at any time.  Parents of children 11 and under must remain in the facility.  Please respect these guidelines, they protect your child. Fitness equipment is cleaned regularly; if in disrepair, please notify the staff immediately.  Should you need assistance with the use of any equipment, please ask the nearest Y professional.  They would be glad to help. Facility Usage RestrictionsUse of select areas of facilities may be restricted to certain age groups and supervisory requirements. Some hours of operation and areas of the building may be closed to members during Y special events.




Members can generally use other areas of the Y facility at such times. Food and BeverageFood and beverages with the exception of water bottles are not permitted in workout areas. Some refreshments are provided by the Y. Food and drink, with the exception of water or sports drinks, is not permitted in the Y unless specified in a rental agreement. Gymnasium GuidelinesApply the rules of good sportsmanship at all times. Anyone who abuses the Y court property, or plays in a reckless and dangerous manner will be asked to leave and may lose membership privileges. Always follow specific open gym hours. Member CommunicationsThis is your Y and that is why your input is always welcome.  Make your concerns, questions or comments known! Messages can be sent via email; Member Comment forms, or please feel free to speak directly with any member of our staff. Holidays and Facility ClosingsThe Y will be closed on the following holidays: New Years Day • Easter • Memorial Day • Independence Day • Labor Day • Thanksgiving Day • Christmas Day




During annual maintenance, parts of facility may be closed for cleaning. The Y has the right to close facilities and cancel classes due to special events, inclement weather, and other Y-related programs and events. (The Y will make every effort to announce our closure on our website and local tv in cases of inclement weather.) Y Membership ID's - For the safety of all members and staff, your YMCA membership ID must be scanned in every time  your enter the facility. A one-time courtesy check-in will be granted as a reminder of our safety rules.  Lost Id's can be replaced at the Welcome Center for $5.00. Broken/Ripped ID cards can be replaced at the Welcome Center free of charge. Those members who forget their ID's will be subject to a $2.00 per incident. PART 2: Health and Fitness Guidelines Although we make every effort to give advance notice, our hours may change without prior notice. Hours may be modified based on use, special programs and requests for the facility. 




The hours may also be modified seasonally. Locker Rooms and ShowersThe Y provides separate male and female locker rooms. You may rent a locker on a monthly basis or daily use lockers must be cleaned out daily. Please secure all belongings. Family Assisted Changing Rooms Uncomfortable changing in Locker Rooms, please use our family changing rooms that may better suit your needs. Not available for individuals. Please see Member Services representative for details. Lost and FoundPlease leave your valuables at home; the Y is not responsible for lost or stolen property. However, the Member Services staff keeps items turned in for a period of 15 days. Medical Check-upsA pre-participation medical check-up is highly recommended before starting any exercise program. A new member can schedule a health & fitness assessment and health history inventory review with a fitness staff member before the start of any health & fitness program.  We strongly recommend annual physicals for any child participating in any physical activity.
