The Aldrich Center is situated on the first floor of One Walnut Street. Designed in 1804 by Charles Bulfinch, architect of the Massachusetts State House and U.S. Capitol, this historic site is one of the earliest brick homes on Beacon Street. This landmark building was the home of John Phillips, first mayor of Boston, the famous abolitionist Wendell Phillips and Thomas Lindall Winthrop, lieutenant governor of Massachusetts from 1826 to 1832. Recently refurbished, the Aldrich Center has meeting rooms equipped with wall-mounted monitors accessible through your computer or ours, making them ideal for training programs or corporate meetings. With a main meeting room that can accommodate a variety of setups, Aldrich Center can host private breakfasts, luncheons and dinners, bridal and baby showers, as well as political and business receptions for up to 75. We rent a number of spaces for meetings, education, weddings & receptions. seats approximately 330 people and is a beautifully classic setting for a service, ceremony, or concert. It is equipped with a state-of-the-art sound system, listening assist devices, and professional digital audio recording capability. In 2008, it was remodeled to provide for accessible seating areas, enlarged performance area and improved acoustics. In 2012 the interior was repainted. has a maximum capacity of about 120 for cocktails, and 80 seated. It is the perfect location for a birthday party, wedding/ baby shower or medium sized reception. The Parish Hall is equipped with an adjacent Kitchen with commercial oven/stove top. is the perfect location for a small wedding or naming ceremony for an intimate group of less than 50.
