Adjustments to our flying schedule on Monday 19 September

Dear Travel Partner,

We are writing to share some details regarding our flying schedule on Monday 19 September, the date of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's State Funeral, and what this may mean for our mutual customers.

Firstly, please be aware there will be significant disruption to the transport network in London, so please encourage your customers to allow additional time for their journey to or from Heathrow Airport. You can find more details here.

Heathrow Airport, NATS (National Air Traffic Control) and airlines are supporting the ceremonial aspects of Her Majesty’s State Funeral at Westminster Abbey and the Committal Service at Windsor Castle. As a mark of respect, operations to and from the airport will be subject to restrictions, in order to keep the skies quiet at certain locations during specific moments on Monday.

We are working closely with Heathrow Airport and NATS to minimise the impact of these restrictions on our customers. In order to observe these, we will need to adjust our schedules accordingly and this will mean a small number of flight cancellations and the re-timing of some of our operating services.

If a customer’s flight is affected by these schedule changes, we will be offering them the option to rebook onto alternative flights or request a refund as per our Standard Customer Guidelines.

Our thoughts are with the Royal Family and we thank you, our valued partners, for your understanding at this very this sad time.
