Vallacar Transit Incorporated (VTI) is under the giant umbrella of the Yanson Group of Bus Companies (YGBC). The bus company is a family-owned and managed business that has grown from a lone 14-seater jeepney plying a single route called Ceres Liner, to a conglomerate of transportation companies with a combined number of operating units of 838 transport vehicles as of January 2010, operating in Visayas, and also serves Mindanao. The company pioneered inter-modal services between Negros and Cebu. Main article: Yanson Group of Bus Companies The company was founded in 1968 by Ricardo B. Yanson (passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015) and his wife, Olivia Villaflores Yanson, beginning with the purchase of one jeepney unit. This effort ultimately became a jeepney-assembly business. In the early 1970s, the market was flooded with Ford Fieras; the couple decided to diversify into a small bus line which plied the Bacolod City-Valladolid-La Carlota route (hence, ValLaCar) and christened it Ceres Liner.
Ceres Liner grew and expanded through the years. Their service had reached from Negros to the areas and provinces of Cebu, Samar, Leyte, Iloilo, Aklan, Capiz, Zamboanga Del Norte, and Zamboanga City. Ceres Liner was the first branding under Vallacar Transit Incorporated which was named after the youngest sister of the founder, Ricardo Yanson Sr. As their operations expanded, several brands are added with different functions and area of operations. The base is assigned as Base 6 of Yanson Group of Bus Companies. Their routes are from Iloilo City and Roxas City to the areas within Western Visayas. Dumaguete Base is located at Calindagan Rd, Dumaguete City with its own terminal hub at the same location.
The base is assigned as Base 7 of Yanson Group of Bus Companies. Their routes are from Dumaguete City to the other areas within Negros Island Region, Cebu, and Zamboanga City. Cebu Base is located at Rizal Ave. Ext., Cebu City with two terminal hubs at Cebu North Bus Terminal at Subangdaku, Mandaue City and at Cebu South Bus Terminal at N.Bacalso Avenue, Cebu City. The base is assigned as Base 8 of Yanson Group of Bus Companies. Their routes are from Cebu City to the areas within Central Visayas, Tacloban, Zamboanga Del Norte, and Zamboanga City.. Vallacar Transit Incorporated has several units from Chinese brand buses. Jorge Rodriguez, 24, and his girlfriend Melissa Pereira, 25, were last seen leaving her home in Wayne, New Jersey, on Dec. 27 Grisly find: The couple are believed to have become overwhelmed by carbon monoxide fumes inside this garage. When they were found the car's gas tank empty and the battery was dead A giddy Melissa Pereira even tweeted affectionately about their upcoming trip on the day they disappeared.

Then Rodriguez, who was behind the wheel, hopped out of the car and tried to use a key to open a garage door.When that failed Trifari and her boyfriend became suspicious. ‘We thought he was trying to break in,’ she said. Afterward, Rodriguez used the same key to unlock garage number 55.
The couple had been dating for about two years and were said to be very happy and excited for the future ‘He gets back in the car and that’s when the girl looks over at me,’ Trifari said. She acknowledged us and we acknowledged her. It’s a horrible accident,’ one relative who requested anonymity told MailOnline. ‘They’re a loving couple and they would not kill themselves.’Neither Jorge or Melissa canceled their $195 per night reservation to the Cherry Valley Manor Bed and Breakfast in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.But when the couple were no-shows, innkeeper Julia Manovscaia said Melissa's mother Bibi called asking for her daughter. Manovscaia reimbursed the money Melissa put down for the two nights to her mother. But Bacchus also expressed concern over why it took so long to find the couple. Bacchus, a school principal, said he physically went over to the garage after noticing the one and only key was missing. ‘I went to the garage and banged on that garage on Monday night after we filed the police report.’He said he informed cops about the storage garage when his family filed the missing report on December 30. ‘We told them about the garage,’ he said. ‘Sometimes you wonder if full attention was given – those types of things you wonder.‘
