We took our truck here for work needed to pass emission testing. After running the diagnostic test, the problem was identified. Upon further inspection, we learned our radiator needed replaced as well. We were given a fair quote. However, once our truck was suspended in air, it was apparent to Brad and other mechanics that our frame was completely rusted out and deemed unsafe to drive. I am certain another place would have done the work and sent us on our way. Here, in spite of spending the morning on our truck, Brad charged us us only a small fee for the diagnostic exam.
Parts had been ordered and his time spent on us. This is one awesome place!!! Brad is super as well as the others. We will be life long customers!!! I tooing for the work to be completed,k my car for a simple oil change and tire rotation. When the mechanic came to me to share he found a problem with my tires I thought, "Here we go". What he showed me was places on my tires where the tread was separating from the belts on the sidewall. Although the car is seven years old it has only 31,000 miles and the original tires, which obviously had started to dry rot. He also showed me how low my front brakes were and let me know they should be replaced "soon". I used to do most of my minor work myself and knew the brakes were worn. When I hesitated about some of the work there was no pressure. I ended up with new tires and new front brakes but I am very comfortable with both. The prices charged were very reasonable and they threw in some unexpected discounts. This was my first trip but not my last.
I was also able to see many returning customers while I sat waiting for the work to be completed. No pressure and very cordial staff. excellent service like always!. Drop it off and pick it up the next day ready to go. Terrific service, courteous workers and fair prices ! Had a brake job done there. It was done properly and on time and at a good price point. Hello I would like to let you know my 1st time experience at Foulk Automotive was very friendly. They fit me in very quickly and found the problem with the Car and gave me the price to repair it. While the car is nearing 10 years old i had very little problems with it. I was going to have them repair it but thought the quote was somewhat to high so we were thinking to trade it in. But a friend of mind said why don't you bring it to my mechanic to see if he could give you a better price.
And he dose not charge diagnostic fees .So we took it there and he came up with the same repairs needed as Foulk Automotive said . The only thing was the price for repairs at this other smaller mechanic shop was half the price as quoted at foulk. so i ate the $ 90.00 diagnostic fees at foulk and trading the car in and after it was repaired by the smaller shop its running very well and we will keep it as a backup car when needed. As for Foulk Automotive I believe they are very professional the mechanic i spoke with was very knowledgeable . The manager Bradd was very very helpful to. My car was serviced in short time.
