Arcadia Beach is one of the most colorful in terms of the number of entertainment in Odessa. It is located in the Primorsky district of Odessa and is considered one of the best in the city. The history of Arcadia begins at the end of the nineteenth century. At that time in place of the current Arcadia was only a rocky and completely unsuitable beach for rest. The discoverer of Arcadia is the Belgian Emile Cambier, who was the director of the Odessa agency of the Belgian horse-railroads. Cambier noted that from here you can get to the beach by a natural gentle slope, while a lot of Odessa's beaches were steep slopes and cliffs.
At the same time, the name of the beach appears - "Arcadia" - the name of the land of Greece, which the poets sang as a fertile, paradise of nature. Since 1910, the outdated "horse" is being replaced by electric trams, which has simplified the road to Arcadia. At this time Arcadia is already known for its noisy parties and festivities, which somehow could compete with modern ones.
