Hi, I have recently discoveered that my YouTube account was disabled, however I have not had any copyright strikes so have been sent any email informing me that I got a copyright or community strike. Please can you inform me why my account was terminated and what can be done to re-instate it. https://www.youtube.com/al-igtisam

Our channel was educational and did not violate the rules of the community. We think that in the light of recent events, this can be regarded as a restriction on freedom of speech.

While the BLM movement defends its rights, and in Europe, aggression is growing fueled by radical movements, public burning of the Koran is organized, or cartoons are published that defame the feelings of believers, we get a restriction on the activities of our channel. I would like to remind you that according to the European Convention on human rights, under article 9 of the Convention ("Freedom of thought, conscience and religion"), everyone has the right to manifest their religion or belief, either individually or in community with others, in public or private. Now I would like to remind you of the decision of the European court of human rights in the case Otto-Preminger-Institut V. Austria:

"The respect for the religious feelings of believers guaranteed by article 9 may legitimately be considered violated by provocative images of objects of religious veneration, such images may be considered a malicious violation of the spirit of tolerance, which should also be a feature of a democratic society."

In the case of Wingrove v. the United Kingdom:

"...Respect for the religious feelings of believers may be grounds for the state to legally restrict the publication of provocative images of objects of religious veneration." We regard the restriction of our channel as a restriction of freedom of speech and censorship on the one hand, and as support and approval of insults to the feelings of believers on the other. We reserve the right to use this correspondence as evidence from the plaintiff in a lawsuit if you do not respond to our request to restore the channel and all content.

Теперь хочу напомнить вам решение Европейского суда по правам человека по делу Otto-Preminger-Institut v. Austria:

«Уважение религиозных чувств верующих, гарантированное статьёй 9, может законно считаться нарушенным провокационными изображениями объектов религиозного почитания, такие изображения могут считаться злонамеренным нарушением духа толерантности, который также должен быть чертой демократического общества».

По делу Wingrove v. the United Kingdom:

«…Уважение религиозных чувств верующих может стать основанием для законного ограничения государством публикации провокационных изображений объектов религиозного почитания». Ограничение работы нашего канала, мы расцениваем как ограничение свободы слова и цензуру с одной стороны и как поддержку и одобрительное отношение к оскорблениям чувств верующих с другой. Мы оставляем за собой право, использовать данную переписку как доказательство со стороны исца в судебном иске, если вы не ответите на нашу просьбу о востановлении канала и всего контента.
