Bert Van Dyke started in the taxidermy and glass eye supply business in Woonsocket, SD, years and years ago and expanded into restoration hardware. Sometime back Cabelas bought the whole operation. Then in 2009 Cabelas sold the taxidermy supply operation to McKenzie Taxidermy Supply. They've remained in Woonsocket. Van Dykes Restorers is in Mitchell, SD, and has a nice retail showroom and distribution center just across the interstate from the Cabela's store - in the old Herters building for those of you long enough in the tooth to remember George Leonard Herter and his slogan "Better than need be...".
