In fact it's an upscale flea market, what the Americans would call a "swap meet." It is however, a clean and attractive example of its kind, located in an old sporting goods store. Typically, its a maze of small stalls, each operated by an individual vendor who... I come to this mall once and awhile to find any good treasures from the past. The have a bunch items for all ages, the only thing I wish they had a decent collection would books. Not a lot of rare books in this mall just a lot of common stuff you'll find that's worth $1-$5. What to do when the winter wind kicks up? Head for the indoors! The family and I visited the Antique Mall today and had a great time. Upon our arrival, we hit up the ice cream stand inside, which had a pleasant lady manning the operation. The selection was good and it was nice to have a little snack while... Have been shopping here for several years now and always something new that catches my attention. Vendors do an excellent job of presentation, and prices are comparable to other shops.
Pays to "shop around" before purchasing - prices vary a lot from vendor to vendor. This Mall seems to me to be maybe the largest and most diverse congregation of antique / vintage item vendors under one roof in Western Canada. I come to this place about 2 to 3 times. It is not a truly an antique mall but a "mall" for people to sell their old/collectible furniture (upper level), cookware, nic nac, books, records etc (lower level). The whole place is kept nice and clean and well organized. Every small stalk has a different array of things. Coming from the UK I wouldn't class many of the items as antiques as most items are still in use across Europe.
