ikea high chair tray 1 - 21 of 21 ads for "ikea high chair" in Brisbane Region within Feeding ikea high chair trayIt works great for us, but deep cleaning it is very difficult. We've been using this high chair for 2 months and generally really like it. Prior to it I had a booster seat, but we switched to counter height chairs and I was worried my son would tip them over. I debated getting this because he's 2 and I know our high chair days are almost over, but I needed something to keep him still and eating and this one seemed like a great option. Here are some thoughts:-Cleaning: This is the biggest reason I am marking this down a star, so I thought I'd start with it. Cleaning it seems easy and straight forward, until you decide to take the rubber piece off. Then I realized that there's little nooks and crevices where food and drinks accumulate and it's difficult/nearly impossible to clean 100%. I am posting a picture of what I'm talking about.-Tray: This is my favorite tray I've had on any high chair.

I've had 3 other high chairs between my son and daughter and this one is the best. It is easy to get on and off. Yes, I can do it one handed. It wipes down extremely easy.-Straps: I am going to bow out on this. I have not used the 5 point harness since I bought this when my son was two. I can absolutely understand why people say it's not designed well. I honestly have never used a 5 point harness on any high chair though, so my solution may have been to take the shoulder straps off in the first place anyway. I never leave the room with my son in his high chair. As an ER nurse I never put my kids in situations where I think they will get hurt. I just removed the straps to clean them and that was a pain. They are bolted in to the chair. I threw them in a garment bag and in the washing machine, they came out fine.-Chair part: I love, love, love the rubber design of this. It is so easy to wipe down and is very durable. My son has spilled so much on this and the chair is doing great. I do wipe it down right after spills and I will point out that with the spills sometimes to drip down into the space beneath the rubber and are difficult to clean.-Versatility: I love that this chair turns into a kid lounging chair.

That's actually what set this apart for me from other high chairs. Since I'm getting this a little later on I was very delighted that it would be useful for a few years past being a high chair. Converting it to a normal chair is easy, but the strap holes are still visible. I know that kids love this type of pod chair, so I'm looking forward to being able to transition it in another year.-Base: This does have a wide base. We have it at the end of our island and thankfully (knock on wood) no one has tripped or stubbed their toe on it. I personally don't mind the wide base since my son has been known to rock around, hence why we stayed away from a booster. You'll have to decide if that's a big issue or not for you depending in available space.-Appearance: I was so drawn to how this high chair looked. We remodeled and I am so in love with my kitchen. I didn't want an ugly high chair in my modern new space. This fits right in and looks great. I get compliments on it whenever new people come over.

Overall, I like it and think it's a great high chair. I think it is larger, harder to store and hard to deep clean. So if those are big issues for you I would consider that before buying. If you want something modern, sleek, versatile and easy to wipe down after each use, this might just be the right chair for you.Oct 2016 update: About a month ago I took this outside and hosed and scrubbed it down good. It really needed it. Little food particles fall down the crack in the post area between the legs. If you chose to hose it off like this make sure you keep it upside down for at least a few hours. There are no drainage holes in the posts, so water will sit in there. Now that My son is 2 1/2 he's not dropping food as often and I'm not needing to deep clean it much anymore. I should mention my FAVORITE product for keeping food off the seat, the BABYBJORN Soft Bib, Green/Yellow, 2 Pack is probably the most helpful product I have for keeping my son from dropping everything in his lap. I've had them almost 2 years and swear by them and still take one every time we go to a restaurant.

It's good to share! Tell us what you think here Mimzy 360 Highchair - fantastic This highchair is fantasic. From birth - great if you have a rough boisterous toddler and a newborn. Was best to put the baby up high out the way. Seat swivels 360 degrees, has several heights and recline positions. Has a nice padded soft cover/liner for newborns. My 4 months old loves sitting in this and seeing the world. This is a very simple design but works really well. I like the fact it's height adjustable and the way the tray is designed with the arms on the tray rather than the other way around means it can be used at the table without it. The footrest going straight out from the seat when my lo first started using it meant he didn't slump down into the highchair as with others where the footrest was lower. My only complaint would be I bought the park life design which has a white harness! Seriously who ever thought that was a good idea clearly has never fed a baby!
