Answer

Answer

1, First, cashless methods become primary payment way in some countries. In United Kingdom, United States and Sweden, the cashless payment occupied 34%, 29% and 11% respectively, also Sweden want to reduce the cash payment market to 2% in 2030. Second, personal commercial and financial debit cards become the most population payment methods, over the cash in 2017. In additions, almost everyone, adults and teenagers, credit cards become primary method of payment; Meanwhile, in this situation, a lot of virtual currency platforms established like PayPal and Google Wallet.

2, Going cashless can help enforcement authorized to take down the crime. Comparing with using cashless, using cash can be anonymous and untraceable, criminals can use cash to avoid tax, do some corrupted and terrorist activities. Another benefit of a cashless society is give the opportunity for creating some alternative currencies. For example, TEM in Greece, this alternative monetary unit, is not allow anyone hold more than 1,200 TEMs or owe more than 300, and this units only be accepted by some cities, so TEM can boost local economic development. From my perspective, boost local economic development is the most significant because alternative currency do not let people storage too much, so people have to spend instead of storage in banks,

3, Experts are worried about our societies will incoordination, because bank increase interests and banks locations disappearing will force businesses changes to cashless before customers and other part of society are ready. In additions, millions of people will be excluded on economic activities during societies going cashless too soon. The other reason problem of going cashless to soon will cause money laundering. For example, Indian government suddenly abandoned 500 and 1000 rupees in 2016, their target was took down the criminal activities like drug dealer and money laundering. However, eventually, almost all the 500-1000 rupees was be recycled, that means people who had illegal money at home, they switched to the legal money in the bank during the cash recycled.
