Lev Nikolaevich Tolstoy (August 28, 1828, November 7, 1910) - one of the most famous Russian writers and thinkers, one of the greatest writers of the world. Enlightener, publicist, religious thinker. Corresponding member of the Imperial Academy of Sciences (1873), honorary academician in the category of elegant literature. He was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature (1902, 1903, 1904, 1905). Subsequently, he refused further nomination.
