All 

And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer [it to be so] now: for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he suffered him. - Matt. 3:15

This statement touches my heart. The "All" touches me even more. I can barely hear God above the crashing waves and heavy billows of my heart, yet my Lord says here that He does All that the Father requires. That must have meant He listens for the Father's voice at all times. That must mean He had long forgotten about Himself as he tirelessly go about fulfilling the instructions of the Father.

Here we see Jesus saying in another way that from small till that age 30, He had faithfully done ALL of the things God asks of Him. hmm...I can't say that of myself and I am sure you can't either. But we are not here to 

set Jesus up as the star or celebrity who was so special He did these things. 

No. We are here t behold Him. For it is in that beholding that we metamorphose into Him.

His principle and M.O. is that He must fulfill everything, not little, not some, The Father requires. Though this is personally difficult for me, what is to be done is clear. Our Elder Brother here sets a precedence, we too must walk in His steps.

Follow Him today as you listen to the Father and obey His voice to the full today.
