Choosing the Perfect Curtains for Your Space How Sleep Trackers Work Should You Buy A Pull-out Sofa or An Inflatable Mattress? Factors to consider when shopping for overnight guest bedsWhen you are deciding about sleep arrangements for future overnight guests, you’ll have to take many factors into consideration.

Learn the basics of guest bedding options to help you make the right choice.Airbeds Inflatable beds run anywhere from $50 to $150, which is considerably cheaper than the price range for a pull-out sofa bed. Air mattress advantages include portability (they easily move from room to room or floor to floor when deflated) and storability (when one is deflated, it hardly takes up any room at all and can be stuffed into a closet). One downside of airbeds, compared with sofa beds, is that they may be more challenging and time-consuming to set up. You might, for instance, need to blow air into it manually or plug it into an air-blowing machine.Sleeper Sofas Until recently, sofa beds had a bad reputation, due to their thin spring mattresses. Thanks to technological advances, however, sleeper sofa manufacturers have started to add foam toppers to pull-out mattresses. The result: a significant improvement in overall comfort. The new generation is slightly more expensive than traditional sleeper sofas, and much more expensive than airbeds, but if you haven’t slept on a pull-out in a few years, test some in the store—you’ll likely be pleasantly surprised.

Consider Your Guests Toddlers and young adults may be fine sleeping on an air mattress, but an older, bigger, or less spry person might not be comfortable getting up and down from an airbed that’s on the floor. And air mattresses are not an option for babies, due to risks of suffocation from the soft surfacing.Add Luxe Amenities It’s good to remember that no matter which temporary sleep solution you choose, you can dress it up with some pampering accessories: Think thick, quality pillows, luxury cotton sheets, and a spa-sounds white noise machine. Guests may appreciate extra amenities even if the airbed or sofa bed, itself, is underwhelming. Take a cue from hotels and consider giving them special soap or cozy slippers to make their stay extra comfortable. and the National Sleep Foundation. Want more personalized information? When I moved I doubled my living space and knew I'd be without furniture for a while. I really didn't want to shell out several hundred dollars to buy a sofa and chairs when it's just me, but I did want extra seating for guests and this is perfect. Plus it unfolds so you can stretch out on it, I think it's great for lounging to watch a movie. It will take maybe 5 min to inflate all three sessions if you use an electric pump (not included but I already had one).

It DOES have that typical vinyl smell but I love the way vinyl smells so it doesn't bother me at all. The flocked surface feels similar to suede and you won't have to worry about it sticking to you. I do need to put a pillow behind my back because even though it is fairly firm my back aches after a while. With a throw and a few pillows on it it looks just fine. I've only had it a few days so Idk how durable it is. You will need to add more air after a few hours. I'm 5'5" and can lay my head on one arm and stretch out without having to prop my feet on the other arm. Super lightweight, can easy move it by yourself Waterproof, if you spill something just lay down a towel to absorb the moisture from the flocking As a bed it's quite long and will accommodate a tall person Can be deflated and packed away, has wide ports to quickly inflate/deflate. Narrow, the sofa isn't as deep as a normal one which means pulling your feet up to your chest is a challenge would have to sit "Indian style", also makes lying sideways awkward.

Doesn't try fold so you can unfold the bottom and rest your feet on it Seam on side of seating surface is a little rough if you're not wearing long pants Smells like vinyl (will bother some people) Not very attractive (but pillows and a afghan helps) Main unit holds air fine, second one deflates quickly and need to be inflated every day, third unit becomes almost flat overnight. Probably it is just defective exemplar, but proposed warranty is useless, taking in account that you need to pay for back shipment and considering sofa’s weight and price. Better, buy it in Walmart. We had previously slightly different model, it was holding air fine, maybe adding some air once in 3-4 weeks. Not bad at all I was intrigued by this when I happened to come across it while browsing eBay. I did a little research, some comparison shopping, checked it out on YouTube, and then bought one for less than $60. I also bought one of those foot powered pumps in case I opt to use this outdoors where there is no access to electricity.

I had a perfect opportunity to use it last weekend at home. We had a family gathering at my house and seating space was limited. All eyes were on me as I unfolded it and began the inflation process. As soon as I got it inflated, which only took a few minutes, kids as well as adults were using it. Everybody wanted to try it out. Whenever they had a chance the little kids were jumping on it like a moon bounce. With adults and kids combined at any particular time, it held at least 500 lbs. I found it to be very sturdy and comfortable and sat on it myself for a few hours. After the get together some kids stayed over and insisted on using the fold out queen bed on this as their sleeping surface. It performed very well overall. I ended up leaving it inflated in my living room adjacent to two regular sofas for about 4 days before deflating it, rolling it back up, and putting it away until it is needed again. I don't know how well this will hold up over long term use. I have seen some cases where people actually try and use this as an every day sofa, and eventually start to lose air, or bulges develop in the sofa.
