If camping for you is more about an enjoyable weekend away from the big city than an extreme survival situation, there’s no shame in making the trip more comfortable and more convenient. And the Bundle Beds sleeping bags promise to give you a better night’s sleep—with less stuff to pack. When rolled up the Bundle Beds are about the size of a small duffel bag, so if there’s an hours-long hike to your campsite, you might want to consider a lighter and more compact sleeping bag. But if you’ve got a car trunk’s worth of space for packing camping supplies, the Bundle Beds might be a more appealing option since they unroll with everything you need for a comfortable night’s sleep. The base layer is a self-inflating mattress, about two inches thick, that will easily cushion any forgotten twigs or stones underneath a tent. On top of that is a soft jersey cotton fitted sheet, a synthetic down pillow, and a hydrophobic duvet to keep you warm. Getting your bed ready is as easy as unrolling it, and it’s just as easy to bundle and roll back up in the morning.

The Bundle Beds also function as a very compact portable bed for those times when you have unexpected guests who don’t necessarily want to squeeze onto a tiny couch. That added value might help sell you on the idea of a $260 Kickstarted sleeping bag that isn’t engineered to withstand arctic temperatures. It’s all about comfort and convenience which is enough of a sell for most outdoor enthusiasts—or anyone who still refuses to make their bed in the morning.[Kickstarter - Bundle Beds via Werd] {"inactiveBuffer":2,"currentIndex":0,"activeBuffer":2,"widgetClass":"CollapsingPagingWidget","showSinglePage":false,"pageSize":16,"paging_view_by_page":"View By Page","paging_view_all":"View All 19 Items","persistentStorage":"true","paging_next":"≫","viewModeBeforePages":true,"defaultTotalItems":19,"paging_previous":"≪","totalItems":19,"showXofYLabel":false,"triggerPageChanged":false,"defaultPageSize":16} View All 19 Items RelevancePrice - Low to HighPrice - High to LowName - A to ZName - Z to AHighest Rated

Coleman Seam Sealer, 2-oz. Coghlan's Plug-In Electric Air PumpIf you love camping, but don’t like sleeping on the ground then an air mattress is perfect for you. They provide a comfortable sleep while also being portable and not taking up a lot of space when not in use. The best camping air mattress is one that is lightweight, packs small, extremely durable, and one that inflates and deflates easily – usually using a battery powered pump. Prices generally are less than $100 and can be found for as cheap as about $20. Below we review our choices for the best air mattresses for camping. In addition we also provide a list of the best air mattresses for in-home use and those models could be used for camping if you have easy access to a standard electrical outlet. Our choice for the best air mattress for camping is the Lightspeed Outdoors 2-Person PVC-Free Air Bed which sells for about $83. This deluxe air bed is more durable, puncture resistant, lighter, and less prone to stretching or ballooning in comparison to traditional PVC air mattresses thanks to the superior TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) material used in its construction.

Since it only weighs six pounds and packs smaller than traditional air beds, it is extremely portable. It comes with a pump powered by 4 D batteries and inflates to 79 x 55 x 6.25 inches and can be adjusted from soft to very firm. We really could not find anything to complain about this model and highly recommend it for all camping situations. At $68 the ALPS Mountaineering Rechargeable Air Bed is another air mattress we highly recommend when camping. It comes in twin and queen sizes with the queen being a bit bigger than the Lightspeed Outdoors unit, measuring 80 x 60 x 8.5 and weighs 9 pounds 12 ounces. Made from durable PVC it has a soft flocked top and comfortable coil system for support. It inflates and deflates quickly thanks to a rechargeable pump that can be recharged by a car or wall charger – just make sure it is charged up before you go camping. The Coleman Camping Full Single High Quickbed sells for $46 and is a highly rated and recommend air bed for camping.

It is listed as a full size measuring 73 x 53 x 8 inches. That may be ideal for you if you have a small tent, but it might be a bit too small for two people as well. It inflates and deflates with the included pump that operates on 4 D batteries. The Coleman Double-High Quickbed sells for less than $60 and comes in queen or twin sizes. Buyers need to be aware that this unit does not come with a pump, so you will have to purchase that separately. It has a soft top and is a rare camping bed that is double-high measuring 76 x 58 x 16 inches which makes it easier to get in and out of bed. On the downside it is not very portable since it takes up more space and is a bit heavier than other models intending for camping. Another choice that is extra-high is the queen-sized AeroBed Extra-High Adventure Bed available for about $97. Measuring 78 x 60 x 13, it is constructed of heavy-gauge, puncture-resistant PVC vinyl. It also has a soft flocked fleece surface for added comfort. For quick inflation and deflation it uses the included rechargeable pump or car adapter, just be aware you need to make sure the pump is charged before you use.

If you are just camping alone then we recommend the Wenzel Stow ‘n Go Twin Airbed with Integrated Pump. Man-made with faux leather and suede top this thing is comfortable for one-person use. It has an integrated pump that operates on 4 D batteries which inflates the mattress to 74 x 39 x 8.5 inches. You can also customize the firmness with the comfort adjust pump. If you are looking for a cheap air mattress for camping then look no further than the Intex Classic Downy Queen Airbed which is available for less then $20. It is a nice full queen size measuring 80 x 60 x 8.75 with a flocking top to keep the bedding from slipping. It comes with 2 inflatable pillows and a hand pump. It will take a bit of effort to get this thing inflated, but you could also buy a battery operated pump to inflate it as well. The biggest downside to this Intex air bed is that it seems to have trouble holding air all night. So as long as you don’t mind pumping it up every day then this cheap model will be OK for you.
