I was a bit early for my.check in so I had to take my luggage back down to.put it in storage and then bring it back up to lobby when it was close to check in...On the day that I checked in, I asked the front desk if they have airport shuttle bus service and the guy said no. He told me another hotel a distance away has and said I can walk over and take the shuttle bus from there or I can take the public bus.
On the day of my departure, I booked a taxi and was standing at the hotel entrance waiting for the taxi when I saw a small notice that says there is an airport shuttle service that departs every hour. In the end, I paid HKD350 for the taxi ride instead of HKD140 for the airport shuttle bus service. I was so furious.++++ (1) Takes 5 minutes to the MTR station, 8 minutes to the tram station, and a bus stop is right in front of the hotel entrance. (3) Spacious room, comparatively. (4) No complain of the cleanness and housekeeping. (1) Ultra slim cabinet. (2) Awful designed wash room. (3) Super mini sink basin.The good : Excellent value for money for Hong Kong. Room was comfy and nicely designed to have a good number of amenities despite the small size. Great location just a few steps from the MTR, and lots of yummy food and convenience stores nearby. The bad : Although the room was designated 'no smoking', it stank of cigarettes, as did the outside area.
I suspect many of the clientele are from a culture where such niceties are ignored. If so, please enforce the no-smoking and fine offenders heavily by imposing cleaning fees. The ugly : The whole hotel basically, was a shrine to bad decorating taste.
