Download and install the Adobe CC 2018 apps you want from here.

Make a folder somewhere.

Whitelist that folder for all antivirus programs on your PC.

Download AMTEmu v0.9.2 for Windows. It's at https://archive dot is forward slash VG031 (correct URL and remove spaces - can't direct link here as it has been sitewide DMCA'd on Reddit).

Extract the contents of the archive into the folder where you downloaded the file with WinRAR, 7-zip or an archival tool of your choice. Password = 123.

Double click on the file amtemu.v0.9.2-painter.exe.

Select the 2017 application name for an Adobe application you installed from the topmost drop-down menu. For example, to activate Adobe After Effects CC 2018, you'd select "Adobe After Effects CC 2017" in the drop-down.

Click Advanced.

Tick the Replace AdobePIP.dll with a stub option.

Click OK.

Click Install .

Locate the file amtlib.dll for the application you're patching. It's in C:\Program Files\Adobe\<Adobe Application Name> (or Program Files (x86) if you are on a 32-bit system). For example, to activate Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018, you'd look in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018. Note that for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC the path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat. Note that the location varies between apps and you may have to search in the folders yourself. Select the file and click Open.

When the text WORKING DONE appears, close the application.

Skip to step 23 if you wish to use the Creative Cloud app / combining with a legitimate subscription - Open the start menu and search for Notepad.

Right click on it and click Run as administrator.

Click File > Open.

Change the file type dropdown (bottom right) to All Files.

Click on the path bar once and delete everything. Enter C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc and hit enter.

Double click on the file called hosts.

Click on the end of the last line of the document, and hit enter a few times.

Paste in everything from here.

Save the file then close the window.

Hold down the Windows key on your keyboard, and tap R.

Enter services.msc into the box that pops up, then press Enter.

Right click on the option named Adobe Genuine Software Integrity Service.

Click Properties.

Click Stop.

Change the Startup type dropdown menu to Disabled. Press OK and then close the window. Example result

Repeat steps 3 to 6 for the following services named Adobe Genuine Monitor Service and AdobeUpdateService

Close the window.

Open the Start Menu and search for Task Scheduler. Open it.

Click Task Scheduler Library on the left.

For every entry with AdobeGCInvoker, AdobeAAMUpdater and Adobe Acrobat Update Task in their names (note that not all may be present - that's OK), right click on these entries, and click Disable.

Repeat step 11, but click Delete instead after right-clicking.

Close the window.

Hold down the Windows key on your keyboard, and tap R.

Enter regedit into the box that pops up, then press Enter.

Navigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run (on Windows 10 1703 or higher, you can simply copy and paste this into the address bar at the top)

For every entry with Adobe in their name, right click on these entries, and click Delete.

Repeat step 39 for the following locations, then close the window:

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce

If you are on Windows 10:

13. Open Task Manager (hold down the CTRL and SHIFT keys on your keyboard, and tap ESC).

13. Click Startup.

13. Right click on Adobe GC Invoker Utility.

13. Click Disable.

13. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for Adobe Updater Startup Utility

13. Close the window.

If you are on Windows 7 - 8.1:

Hold down the Windows key on your keyboard, and tap R.

Enter msconfig into the box that pops up, then press Enter.

Click on the Startup tab.

Untick the options Adobe Updater Startup Utility and Adobe GC Invoker Utility

If you have the Adobe Creative Cloud App installed (skip if combining with a legitimate subscription):

Download the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool

Double click on the file AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool.exe.

Press e then Enter on your keyboard

Press y then Enter on your keyboard

Press the number key on your keyboard corresponding to the "Creative Cloud only" option. e.g. Press 6 on your keyboard for "6. Creative Cloud only". Example

Press Enter on your keyboard

Press 1 then Enter on your keyboard

Press y then Enter on your keyboard

Wait for the process to finish, then close the window.

FAQ:

Activation only works for some apps.

Try using the relevant values for the applications from here (archived link) and pasting them into the AMTEmu window when activating.

When I shut down my PC, I keep seeing the error message "LogTransport2.exe - The application was unable to start correctly"

Hold down the Windows key on your keyboard, and tap R.

Enter regedit.

Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Adobe\CommonFiles\UsageCC\<user GUID> (if you can't find your user GUID, just look in all the folders there)

On the right hand side, if you do not already see a key called optin, right click on a blank space there, click on "New >" then click on "DWORD (32-bit) Value"".

Enter optin

Right click on the entry (Start from this step if you already see the optin entry)

Click "Modify..."

Replace any value there with 0.

Click "OK".

The error should no longer appear on next shutdown / restart. You do not need to restart your PC immediately.

Can I combine this with a legitimate subscription to some apps?

Absolutely. Just don't add the hosts (skip steps 14 to 22). Everything else will work flawlessly, the disabling of services / registry editing has no effect on the Adobe apps, pirated or legitimately obtained.

If you wish to use the Creative Cloud file storage, keep the Adobe Creative Cloud App installed, but don't open it (if you do, and some apps lose activation, just repatch - its an easy fix). Disable it from running on startup.

Should I use AMTEmu over other tools such as Universal Adobe Patcher?

AMTEmu patches and completely strips away the DRM from the Adobe application it cracks, meanwhile Universal Adobe Patcher only patches it. This translates into a performance boost as there is no longer any DRM running in the background.

Here is a representation of it. The left one (AMT) is benchmarked from a legitimate Adobe application activated with a real license (identical performance to UAP) and the right one is AMTEmu.

Are these hosts up to date?

The text file with the hosts I linked is verified and updated for 2018 courtesy of u/Greywinde here.

Why not just use CCMaker?

For me, across many systems CCMaker resulted in the Adobe apps crashing on launch with missing .dll files, it doesn't have Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and it doesn't disable the Adobe Genuine Software Integrity Service. It's my preference, you're welcome to use CCMaker if you wish.

Good luck! Be sure to ask any issues you have by using the dedicated support thread, and include this thread's number in your comment (2).
