After graduating from university, I started working at a school in my hometown – Shakhrisabz, in southern Uzbekistan and teaching computer science. A few years later, a friend of mine offered to try myself as an instructor at the Cisco Academy in Tashkent. I was very interested in this opportunity, and I realized that in order to become an instructor, I had to take the CCNA exam. I started to get prepared for exam and did some hard work. Then I took the CCNA exam and got my CCNA certificate. Later I started teaching as an instructor at the Uzscinet Cisco Academy in Tashkent. At the same time, I got a full-time job as a Technical Support Engineer at BCC Internet Service Provider. Eventually, I grew to Lead Technical Support Engineer in the company.

In 2011 I was offered a job at Uzbekistan-China Gas Pipeline Project (UCGP), the most challenging and technically complex project I've worked. This project was established by Nokia Shanghai Bell Co., Ltd. (former known as Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell Co., Ltd.) for JV "Asia Trans Gas" LLC to provide contracting services for engineering, procurement and construction of telecommunication systems along Uzbekistan - China gas pipeline project in Uzbekistan. In general, the project was comprised of the following subsystems: FOC (Fibre Optical Cable Backbone System), FOTE, VSAT, Shortwave Radio, PABX (voice exchanges), Data Network (LAN), VCS, CCTV & Intrusion Detection, Satellite TV.

I held the position of Computer System and Network Engineer and was responsible for establishing the networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation and defining (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs and QoS), documenting and enforcing system standards for use in the projects across all locations (Tashkent, Beijing, Bukhara and other regions) and as a member of engineers staff I took part in integrating all above-mentioned telecommunication systems between each other.

After the end of the project, I was invited to JV “Asia Trans Gas” LLC as Leading Network Security Engineer, where I currently work.

My dream has always been to get a cherished CCIE number, so I decided to prepare myself to exam. Since I have been working as an instructor all this time, I decided that the best way to learn the materials is if you explain it to someone. I came up with one idea in my mind and wrote a letter to founder of linkmeup.ru podcast Marat Sibgatullin and jointly we prepared one of the most successful projects for preparing for CCIE exam in the former USSR region, named "CCIE in a year". The project was completely free for all comers. The whole process of training (including the plan and the whole process with the training materials) was covered on the website - http://ccie.linkmeup.ru/about_project/. In other words, we tried to show everyone that it IS possible to get prepared for CCIE from the lowest level of preparation just within a year. At the end of project, several objectives were achieved, i.e. firstly, the natural pumping of knowledge, secondly, it raised the level of self-esteem of the project participants, and thirdly, many of the project participants were able to pass not only the written exam, but also the laboratory work on CCIE and get the desired CCIE number.
