I was holding off on moving to the first grader series until wed finished the kindergarten books, but our oldest brought this one home from school. She was a little confused by the new teacher, but overall, since this was mostly about her vacation to Hawaii, it wasnt too much of an issue. We live in Hawaii, so of course we love to read about it as much as see and do fun things here. We talked a little about nature hikes and swimming and snorkeling, which are the things that Junie B. did on vacation (and just happen to be fun things our girls enjoy doing as well.) Overall, its a fun book. Weve really enjoyed the Junie B. Jones series.
