Longmire and Lucian Connolly work together to track down three suspects in his wife's murder, Henry searches for the man who can prove his innocence, and Branch's investigation tactics nearly get him in trouble with the law.
Walt teams up with Lucian Connally to narrow the field of suspects in the aftermath of his wife's murder. And while the team tries to track down a witness who could help Henry's case, Branch's behavior causes trouble.
I really wish other shows would follow "Longmire's" lead. If only other programs would adopt a practice of getting good writers and solid scripts together before hunting down the PC police and/or CGI gang, I think a lot more shows would succeed. Once again, this is another excellent installment. As always, Walt is up to his eyebrows with evil doers, crime stuff and dead things. As we are finding out, Branch will go to all limits to find out who shot him; 'The Ferg' is doing some kind of training, and Vic takes a crash course in management. Oh - and Henry just keeps getting deeper and deeper under the doo-doo pile – I think someone needs to pay. Good ole Walt is oddly going on leave. Hmmm, sounds to me like he is going to embrace 'Longmire Law' to its fullest and get to the bottom of his wife's murder once and for all. Of course he will need some assistance and a whole lot of plausible deniability. Who would best help him but the guy he replaced. Yes, it's time for all those snitches to start snitching…sorry…just like the quotes from this show. Next thing you know, Walt has enlisted the help of 'Professor RoboCop' from the local senior citizens home. These two hit the trail, raising all sorts of dust. Every character in this show is valuable. Peter Weller did a spectacular job directing this episode but needs to add, 'dead or alive, you're coming with me.' Side note - I don't know what's wrong with me, but I am starting to side with Mathias a lot and I really like his character. Who else is going to keep Walt in line? It has to be a full time job. Great show!
